CAREER: A four-year member of the program who was a spot starter and in the regular playing rotation at defensive end throughout his career.

2019: Played in all 13 games with a start at Mississippi State... Carded a career-high eight tackles against the Bulldogs and also tied his career high with 1.5 tackles for loss... Set a new career high with 3.0 sacks on the year, tallying sacks at Mississippi State, at Kansas and against Iowa State... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

2018: Played in 10 games with six starts, finishing with 16 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks on his way to Honorable Mention All-Big 12 accolades from the league’s coaches... Also batted away two passes... Ranked fourth on the team in TFLs... Registered a career-high seven tackles at Oklahoma, which was the final game of a three-game stretch he had a TFL... Carded sacks against both UTSA and Oklahoma State... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

2017: Saw action in 11 games as both a third-down pass rush specialist and reserve defensive end... Carded 17 tackles on the year to go along with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks... Tied for first in the Big 12 and 26th nationally with two fumbles recovered... Set career highs with 1.5 sacks at Oklahoma State, a game in which he set a new career high with four tackles and also forced a fumble... Returned a fumble 22 yards against Central Arkansas and also recovered one against Baylor... Had three tackles and a sack at Kansas... A First Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree.

2016: Saw action in five games, playing against Texas, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas A&M... Recorded a sack on his first-career play against Texas and came back with another the next week at Iowa State... Totaled two tackles against the Cyclones.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner at Shawnee Mission East under head coach Dustin Delaney... Helped lead the Lancers to a perfect 13-0 record and the school’s first-ever state championship in 2014... Recorded 118 tackles, including 37 for loss, and 10 sacks as a senior en route to being named one of the top 12 players in the state by the Kansas Football Coaches Association and to the organization’s all-state 6A team... Also one of the top 11 players in the state and named to the All-Class 6A team by the Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle... Earned the Ryan Lilja Award as the Top Kansas Big Class Lineman, while he was the Sunflower League Player of the Year... A finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award as the most outstanding lineman or linebacker in the Kansas City area... A first team all-metro selection by the Kansas City Star... Selected to play in the 2015 Kansas vs. Missouri All-Star Game... Named to the USA TODAY Sports/American Family Insurance All-USA Kansas team as a junior after totaling 119 tackles, 28 TFLs and nine sacks... Also competed in basketball and track.

PERSONAL: Kyle Alan Ball was born July 27, 1996, in Kansas City, Missouri... Son of Kerby and Julie Ball... Has two siblings, Calvin and Caleb... An Eagle Scout who accumulated a 3.9 GPA during his high school career... Earned his bachelor’s degree in finance in May 2019 and is currently pursuing a master’s in data analytics.
