HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner at Buhler under head coach Steve Warner… Picked up all-state honors from the Kansas Football Coaches Association (KFBCA) as a senior in 2017 after recording 116 tackles and two interceptions… Also earned honorable mention all-state honors from the Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle… Led team to three-straight league championships, while the Crusaders were the state runner up in 2016 following an 11-2 season… Ended his career with 341 tackles, the third most in school history… Also lettered four years in baseball and two in powerlifting.
PERSONAL: Jhet Robert Burkhart was born March 25, 2000, in Hutchinson, Kansas… Son of Mike and Shelbi Burkhart, both of whom attended K-State… Has one brother, Jake… Majoring in biological systems engineering.
