As a Redshirt Senior (2016-17): Competed in eight events, ending the year with a 74.29 stroke average… Placed first on the team in top individual round (gross score) with a 3-under par (67), and third on the team in rounds even or under par (8)… Was also fourth on the team in percentage of rounds counted (85.42) and individual 54-hole performance with a 5-under par (211)… Posted his low 18-hole (67) at the Big 12 Championship and his low 36-hole (139) and low 54-hole (211) at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate… Placed second at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate with a 5-under par (211) helping lead the team to a second place finish... Earned Academic All-Big 12 accolades.
As a Redshirt Junior (2015-16):
Competed in a total of 10 events for the Wildcats, posting a team high
six top-20 finishes, including four consecutive in the spring… Was atop
the team scorecard in five competitions… Tied Gandon with the top
36-hole score of 139, but was second on the team for best stroke average
(73.52), low 18 (68), low 54 (209) and most rounds at even or under par
(12)…Tied for fifth place at the David Toms Intercollegiate with a
54-hole score of 217 and tied for fourth in the Old Waverly Collegiate
with an even-par 216.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2014-2015):
Competed in all 11 events, leading the team in stroke average at 73.18…
Earned an individual bid to the 2015 NCAA San Diego Regional… Paced the
squad in nearly every statistical category, including low 18- (67), low
36- (140) and 54-hole (210) scores, as well as individual rounds
counted toward the team score (96.97 percent)… Won his first-career
tournament at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational when he carded a 3-under
par 210… Recorded four top-10 finishes during the season…. Tied for 20th
at the Big 12 Men’s Championship.
As a Sophomore (2013-14):
Competed in two events during his second season at K-State... Earned a
medical hardship and is classified as a sophomore again in 2014-15...
Recorded a stroke average of 72.50... Tallied two top-5 finishes...
Individual rounds counted for 83.30 percent of the overall team score...
Secured his season-best finish by tying for third place at the 2013
Firestone Invite after firing 2-under 214... Earned a fourth place
finish at the 2013 Jim Colbert Intercollegiate with a 5-over 221.
As a Freshman (2012-13):
Competed in a team-high-tying 12 events during his first season as a
Wildcat... Recorded two top-5, two top-10 and three top-20 finishes...
Carded a stroke average of 74.85... Led the Wildcats in several major
statistical categories, including lowest 18- (65), 36- (133) and 54-hole
(206) scores and most rounds even or under par (7)... Opened up his
K-State career by finishing in third place with a 7-under 203 in the
2012 Shocker Classic... Tied for 13th place in the 2012 Jim Colbert
Intercollegiate as an individual... Carded a 1-under 215 to finish third
in the 2012 Bill Ross Intercollegiate as an individual... Competed in
the 2013 Big 12 Championship where he tied for 43rd place.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Prepped at Olathe Northwest... Qualified for the 2012 Kansas Amateur...
Tied for seventh place at the 2012 Kansas Junior Championships after
nearly nine months off of competition due to knee surgery... Was a
three-time 6A state tournament qualifier and a two-time medalist for
Olathe Northwest... Tied with fellow K-State signees Connor Schrock and
Hank Simpson for fourth at the 2011 6A state championship, helping the
Ravens to a third-place finish... Captured three top-20 finishes in AJGA
events in 2011.
PERSONAL:
Son of Steve and Jennifer Green... Born on March 4, 1994... Has two
sisters, Taylor and Bailey, and one brother, Jackson... Plans to
double-major in business and marketing.
