Symone Simmons,Β a four-year Wildcats rower,Β was added to the K-State women's rowing staff as a student assistant coach by head coach Kennedy Felice on September 9, 2025.
She capped off her career in 2025 with a silver medal at the SIRA Championship and finished fourth at Big 12s, both with 1v8+.
During Simmons' sophomore season in 2023 she was part of the 2v8+ who defeated the Jayhawks for the Kansas Cup and won gold at the SIRA Championship with the 1v8+. In the classroom she was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team every year of her career.
"I am super excited for this next year and getting the opportunity to give back to the program that gave so much to me. It's a privilege to be able to coach some of the hardest working athletes and see all their hard work pay off," Simmons said.
