
Wildcats Ready to Compete in South Carolina

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State women's golf team will be back in action this Friday through Sunday at the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina. The invitational will be hosted at the par-72, 6,278-yard Furman University Golf Course.
This will be the Wildcats' first appearance in the Lady Paladin Invitational, which is in its 46thyear of existence.
The three-day tournament will consist of 18 holes being played each day. The tournament features tee times beginning at 9 a.m. (ET) on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday's final round is scheduled for a 9 a.m., shotgun start.
Kansas State's lineup for the event will consist of senior Chloe Weir, freshman Briony Bayles and the sophomore trio of Reid Isaac, Niamh McSherry and Ella Adams, the latter making her season debut.
The Wildcats are coming off a 15th-place finish in the Mary Fossum Invitational where they carded a 78-over par 942.
"We are eager to get back into competition," head coach Kristi Knight said. "This is a talented group. We just have to remember two key words: trust and play."
Kansas State will be joined in the field by invitational host and defending champion No. 8 Furman, as well as Augusta, Coastal Carolina, Daytona State, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, James Madison, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Memphis, North Florida, Old Dominion, South Florida, Texas Tech and Tulsa.
