MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State (13-2, 3-0 Big 12) has registered its best start to a season through 15 games since the 2008-09 season and will look to extend its win streak to seven as the Wildcats host (9/12) Iowa State on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. This will be K-State's fourth game this season against an Associated Press top-10 opponent.

• Tuesday's game will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play), Missy Heidrick (analyst) and Kelsey Bigelow (sideline) will have the call.
• The Wildcats have started 3-0 in Big 12 play for the first time since the 2011-12 season and the first time under head coach Jeff Mittie.
• The Wildcats have been led this season by junior Ayoka Lee and freshman Serena Sundell. Lee, a 2022 All-America candidate, leads the nation for total points scored (349) and is fifth in the nation in scoring average (23.3 ppg). She also leads the nation in field goals made (143) and is second in blocked shots (55), third in double-doubles (10) and fourth for blocks per game (3.7).
• Sundell, a Big 12 Freshman of the Year candidate, is second on the team in scoring (10.7 ppg). She is second in the Big 12 in total assists (83) and assists per game (5.5).

1. K-State Off to Best Start Since 2008-09
• Kansas State is off to its best start through 15 games since the 2008-09 season. This is the sixth time since the 2000-01 season in which K-State has opened a season with a 13-2 or better record after the first 15 games.
2. Lee in Rare Air
• Junior center Ayoka Lee, a Wooden Award Midseason Top-25 candidate, is the only player in the nation averaging 20 or more points, 10 or more rebounds and 3 or more rebounds this season.
3. The D is the Key
• K-State has held its opponents to 54.5 points per game, a .336 field goal percentage and a .245 three-point field goal percentage. The Wildcats lead the Big 12 in all three categories and rank eighth in the nation in field goal percentage defense and 13th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense.

K-State Off to Solid Start
• With its 13-2 record through 15 games, K-State is off to its best start to begin a season under head coach Jeff Mittie.
• The 13-2 record through 15 games is the best start for the Wildcats since opening the 2008-09 season with a 14-1 mark. This is the sixth time since the 2000-01 season that K-State has started a season 13-2 or better.
• K-State's 10 non-conference wins are the most in a season since the 2018-19 season (10).
• The Wildcats have surpassed their entire win total from the 2020-21 season (9-18). The four-win improvement from last season marks the third time under Mittie in which K-State has improved its record for four or more wins from one season to the next.

K-State Among the Rankings
• Kansas State joined the Associated Press (AP) top-25 poll for the first time this season on Jan. 10, which was the first time since the 201-17 season.
• As a ranked team, K-State owns a 218-77 (.739) record. In its history, K-State has been ranked for 168 weeks in the AP poll.

K-State Against Ranked Opponents
• The Wildcats are 84-224 (.273) against teams ranked in the Associated Press (AP) poll including a 53-65 (.449) mark against AP ranked teams in Manhattan. 
• K-State is 12-48 (.200) against AP ranked opponents in head coach Jeff Mittie's eight seasons in Manhattan.
• The Wildcats captured its first win over an Associated Press top-10 foe since the 2011-12 season by defeating 10th-ranked Baylor on Jan. 2. K-State is now 22-108 (.169) all-time in games against AP top-10 opponents including a 13-32 (.289) mark in games played in Manhattan.

Wildcats With 350+ Wins in Bramlage
• K-State is 360-147 (.710) all-time inside Bramlage Coliseum, which is in its 34th season of existence.
• This season K-State owns an 9-0 mark at home. The nine home wins are the most since the 2019-20 season.
• The 2018-19 season (12-4) marked the 30th time in 54 seasons that the Wildcats reached double figures in home victories. It marked the 22nd season K-State has won 10 or more games in Bramlage including five straight seasons.
• In his career in games played in his home venue, head coach Jeff Mittie is 364-104 (.778) including an 90-39 (.698) record at K-State.
• Kansas State has protected Bramlage Coliseum with determination against non-conference foes with a record of 211-29 (.879). Mittie is 57-8 (.877) in non-conference games in Bramlage Coliseum.

Wildcats Solid From the Arc
• To begin the 2021-22 season, K-State has stretched defenses with its three-point shooting.
• The Wildcats are 100-of-318 (.314) from beyond the arc including four games with 10 connections. K-State is receiving 27.7 percent of its points this season from 3-point range. K-State ranks third in the Big 12 for 3-point field goals made (6.67) and are second in the league for Big 12-only games (7.3).
• At Omaha on Dec. 8, K-State tied the school record with 16 three-point field goals made. This tied the mark originally set on Jan. 23, 2013, against Oklahoma State. The 16 connections were the most in the Jeff Mittie era.
• At West Virginia on Jan. 8, the Wildcats knocked down 12 three-pointers. This marked the most 3-pointers for K-State in a Big 12 game since making 14 at Oklahoma on Feb. 10, 2019.
• Under Mittie, the Wildcats have made five or more 3-pointers in a game 163 times in 237 total games including 26 games with 10 or more connections from deep with K-State notching a 23-3 record in those games.
• In the eight seasons under Mittie, K-State has buried 1,410 three-pointers which is 5.95 per game.

Three is not a Crowd, It's a Benefit
• Since 2011-12, when three or more players reach double figures in scoring in the same game, K-State is 136-66 (.673) including a 7-0 mark this season.
• Against Central Arkansas on Nov. 9, the trio of Ayoka Lee, Emilee Ebert and Rebekah Dallinger combined for 70 points.
• The 70 points among the three players were the third-highest total among three K-State teammates in a game since 1986-87 and the first time since Feb. 27, 2019.
• The Wildcats had a season-high four players in double figures twice.

Glenn Finds the Range 
• Freshman guard Jaelyn Glenn poured in the triples at West Virginia on Jan. 8
• The product of Kansas City, Missouri, knocked down a career-high six 3-pointers on a career-high 11 attempts. 
• Glenn is the first K-State freshman since Rachel Ranke on Feb. 26, 2018, at Texas Tech to make six 3-pointers in a game. Glenn's six connections were the most since Sydney Goodson made six at Oklahoma on March 7, 2021.
• Glenn has five games with two or more connections from 3-point range and two games with four or more. In Big 12 games this season, Glenn ranks second in the league in 3-point field goal percentage, .533 (8-of-15).

Sundell Sets the Table
• Freshman guard Serena Sundell has established herself at the point for K-State with her distribution skills.
• The product of Maryville, Missouri, has handed out 83 assists (5.5 apg) and owns a 2.02 assist to turnover ratio. She has nine games with five or more assists this season including a career-high 10. Sundell is responsible for 29.6 percent of K-State's assists this season.
• Sundell, a three-time Big 12 Freshman of the Week recipient, is second in the Big 12 and 11th in the nation for total assists. She also is second in the Big 12 for assists per game and seventh for assist to turnover ratio.
• Among the nation's freshmen, Sundell is second in total assists and assists per game. 
• Her 83 assists through 15 games are the highest total by a K-State freshman through their first 15 games.
• At South Dakota State on Dec. 11, Sundell tallied a career-high 10 assists with just one turnover.
• Sundell handed out nine assists with one turnover against Central Arkansas in the season-opener on Nov. 9. Her nine assists set the school record for assists in a K-State debut.

Lee Efficient from the Field
• Ayoka Lee continues to put the ball in the hoop at a high rate and is among the top-five on the K-State career field goal percentage list.
• In the 2021-22 season, Lee is shooting .586 (143-of-244) from the field. Lee ranks 16th in the nation and leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage. She also leads the nation in total field goals made (143) and ranks eighth for field goals attempted (244).
• Against Central Arkansas, Lee made a career-high 17 field goals which was tied for second in school history and tied for fifth in Big 12 history for field goals made in a single game.
• At South Dakota State, Lee attempted a career-high 30 field goals. This was the fourth-most field goals attempted in a game in school history. Her 16 attempts in the first half tied the school record for field goal attempts in a half.
• In her career, Lee has a field goal percentage of .591 (512-of-866) and ranks third in program history for career field goal percentage. Among active NCAA career leaders for field goal percentage, Lee ranks 11th among all players. Her career field goal percentage ranks sixth in Big 12 history.
• Lee is the 20th player in program history with 500 or more field goals made in a career and the first since Peyton Williams (2016-20). She ranks 18th in school history for career fields goals made.
• Lee owns 50 career games with a field goal percentage of .500 or better. She has made 10 or more field goals in a game 18 times in her career.
• In the 2020-21 season, Lee shot a career-high .621 (185-of-298) from the field and led the Big 12 and ranked third in the nation for field goal percentage. Among centers, Lee ranked second in the nation in field goal percentage.
• Lee was the only player in NCAA Division I in the 2020-21 season to shoot 60.0 percent or better from the field (min. 5 FGs made/game) and 80.0 percent or better from the foul line (min. 2.5 FTs made/game).
