MANHATTAN, Kansas – (25/rv) K-State (16-5, 6-3 Big 12) starts the month of February and the second half of the Big 12 schedule at (11/13) Iowa State on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

• Wednesday's game will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+, as John Walters (play-by-play) and Molly Parrott (analyst) will have the call.
• K-State's seven-win improvement from the 2020-21 season is the second-largest win improvement in the Jeff Mittie era and tied for the fourth-largest win increase from one season to the next in program history.
• The Wildcats have been led this season by junior Ayoka Lee and freshman Serena Sundell. Lee, a 2022 All-America and National Player of the Year candidate, leads the nation for total points scored (526) and is second in the nation in scoring average (25.0 ppg). She also leads the nation in field goals made (217) and is second in blocked shots (68), fifth for blocks per game (3.24) and double-doubles (14). She leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage (.582).
• Sundell, a candidate for Big 12 Freshman of the Year, is second on the team in scoring (10.4 ppg) and leads the Wildcats in 3-point field goals made (34). She is second in the Big 12 in total assists (125) and assists per game (6.0).

1. K-State No. 16 in NCAA Top-16 Reveal
• In the first reveal of the NCAA Women's Basketball Committee's Top 16 seed selections on Jan. 27, K-State checked in at No. 16.
2. Lee Named to Wooden Award Late Season Watch List
• Ayoka Lee is one of 20 candidates on the 2022 Wooden Award Late Season Watch List. Lee leads the nation in total points with a career-best 526 (25.0 ppg) and 217 field goals made.
3. Rank & File, Again & Again
• In a schedule oddity since facing Iowa State on Jan. 11, K-State has played at least one Associated Press top-15 opponent every week for the last four weeks. The streak appears to continue into next week, as the Wildcats are slated to face 9th-ranked Baylor in Waco on Feb. 9 - a game which was moved from its originally scheduled date of Feb. 16. Of K-State's seven games this season against AP ranked opponents, all seven have been against top-15 foes.

• K-State has tallied 121 blocks (5.8 bpg) this season and rank sixth in the nation for total blocks. The Wildcats lead the Big 12 in total blocks and rank second in the league for blocks per game. K-State has eight straight seasons with 120 or more blocks.

Trio & Tandem Set Records
• Against Oklahoma on Jan. 23, K-State set a number of scoring records in addition to Ayoka Lee breaking the NCAA Division I record for points in a game (see pg. 27).
• The trio of Ayoka Lee (61), Serena Sundell (11) and Jaelyn Glenn (8) combined to score a school record for three players in the same game with 80 points.
• The 80 points scored by Lee, Sundell and Jaelyn Glenn marked the fourth time this season nationally that a trio has scored 80 or more points in a game. This was the first time a trio in the Big 12 scored 80 or more points in a game since March, 9, 2019, when Texas Tech had a trio reach 81 points against Oklahoma.
• K-State's top scoring duo of Ayoka Lee and Serena Sundell paired up to set the school record for combined points by two teammates in a single-game, as they tallied 72 points against the Sooners.
• Lee and Sundell are the only teammates in the Big 12 this season to score a combined 70 or more points in a game. • Lee and Sundell are responsible for 50.5 percent of K-State's scoring output, which ranks first in the Big 12 for percent of a team's overall point total and leads the league as the highest scoring duo with 744 points. The pair have scored in double figures in the same game 11 times this season.

Sundell Scorching From Three
• Freshman guard Serena Sundell has displayed her ability to shoot from beyond the arc this season.
• Sundell leads the Wildcats from 3-point range with a 34-of-92 (.370) effort. Sundell is second on the Wildcats and ranks 11th in the Big 12 in 3-point field goal percentage. 
• She is the only player in the Big 12 with 100 or more assists and 30 or more 3-point field goals made. Sundell is one of two freshmen in the nation this season with 100 or more assists and 30 or more 3-point field goals made.
• Sundell is one of two players in K-State history to register 100 or more assists and 30 or more connections from beyond the arc in their freshman season (Leticia Romero, 2013-14).
• For the season, Sundell has seven games with two or more connections and has four games with four or more connections including a career-high of five twice (at NC State, 11/19; vs. Abilene Christian, 11/23).

Nobody Scores It Like Ayoka Lee
• Ayoka Lee is quickly climbing the K-State career scoring list and has been on a scoring tear in the 2021-22 season.
• In her career, Lee has scored 1,460 points in 75 career games (19.5 ppg). Her career scoring average of 19.5 ranks first in school history, tied for eighth in Big 12 history and sixth among active NCAA Division I players. She ranks 13th on the K-State career scoring list.
• She was the 44th player in school history with 1,000 or more career points and was the fastest player in program history to reach 1,400 career points, needing 73 games to reach the milestone.
• Lee has scored in every game of her career (75 games) and has reached double figures in 68 games including an active streak of 26 straight games dating back to the final five games of the 2020-21 season.
• This season, Lee is averaging a career-best 25.0 points per game which ranks second in the nation. Lee leads the nation in total points scored (526). Lee is the only player in the nation averaging 20.0+ points, 10.0+ rebounds and 3.0+ blocks. 
• Her 25.0 points per game this season is the highest per game average in school history and is the third time a K-State player has averaged 20 or more points in a season and first since Brittany Chambers in the 2012-13 season.
• With her 526 points scored this season, Lee has established a new career single-season high. The 526 points are the most by a Wildcat since Kayla Goth scored 596 points in the 2017-18 season.
• Lee is the ninth player in program history to score 500 or more points in their junior season and the first since Goth in 2017-18. She is the fourth center in school history to score 500 or more points in a junior season. Her total of 526 points ranks fifth in school history for points in a junior season.
• Lee is the fifth player in school history with three or more consecutive seasons with 400 or more points in a season.
• With her efforts of 61 points against Oklahoma on Jan. 23 and 43 points against Central Arkansas on Nov. 9, Lee is the only player in the nation with two games of 40 or more points scored in a game this season.
• Lee's 285 points in non-conference play this season are the seventh-most points scored in non-conference play by a K-State player since at least 2000-01.
• According to HerHoopStats.com, Lee leads the nation in PER (47.9) and is second in Win Shares (9.4). PER measures a player's value based on their box score stats. Win Shares are and advanced statistic that approximates the total number of wins a player produces for their team through their play on the offensive and defensive ends of the court.
• During the 2020-21 season, Lee averaged a career-best 19.1 points per game while scoring a career-high 478 points. She ranked seventh in the Big 12 and 41st in the nation in scoring.
• According to HerHoopStats.com, Lee led the Big 12 and ranked third in the nation in PER (39.9).

Lee Against Top-25 Opponents
• Ayoka Lee has piled up the numbers this season and has done this against some of the best competition in the nation in 2021-22.
• In six games against ranked opponents, Lee is averaging 30.7 points with a 60.0 percent effort from the field (75-of-125) and 73.9 percent from the foul line (34-of-46), 10.2 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.3 steals. She has registered a double-double in five of the six games.
• In three straight games against ranked opponents, Lee scored 30 or more points and pulled in 10 or more rebounds. She tallied an NCAA record 61 points against 14th-ranked Oklahoma on Jan. 23.
• During the 2020-21 season in seven games against ranked foes, Lee averaged 13.6 points on a 60.7 field goal percentage and an 84.0 percent effort from the foul line while pulling in 6.6 rebounds and blocking 1.6 shots.
