MANHATTAN, Kansas - K-State (6-8-3, 2-4-2 Big 12) completes its 2022 Big 12 schedule on Thursday night, as the Wildcats visit Morgantown, West Virginia, to face West Virginia (6-4-7, 3-1-4 Big 12) at 6 p.m. (CT) in the regular season finale for both teams.

• Thursday's match will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+, as Andrew Caridi (play-by-play) and Adam Zundell (analyst) will have the call.
• The Mountaineers have clinched their spot in the 2022 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship in Round Rock, Texas, while the Wildcats will look to earn their way into the field for Sunday's quarterfinal matches.
• With a win or draw, K-State would secure the first Big 12 Championship appearance in program history.

Last Time Out
• K-State closed out its 2022 home schedule, as the Wildcats hosted the Dillons Sunflower Showdown against Kansas on October 21. 
• The Wildcats and Jayhawks played to a 1-1 draw, as K-State scored in the 22nd minute while Kansas squared the match in the 51st.
• With the draw, K-State ended a three-match home losing streak against the Jayhawks and are now unbeaten in the last three meetings in the series (1-0-2).
• In the 22nd minute, senior Caylee Thornhill registered her second goal of the season, scoring on a cross from senior Kyler Goins. This was the first time in her career, in which Thornhill has scored in consecutive matches as she tallied the game-winning goal against Oklahoma on October 16.
• This was Thornhill's fourth career goal and moves her into a tie for seventh in school history for career goals. The forward from Lenexa, Kansas, also ranks eighth in school history for career points with 13.
• With her assist on the goal, Goins moved into sole possession of second in school history for career points with 23. She also registered her third assist at K-State and moved into a tie for ninth in program history for career assists.
• Junior goalkeeper Alaina Werremeyer pocketed six saves. This was her 20th career match with five or more saves and seventh this season.

Shot Prevention is Goal Prevention
• K-State's 2022 version of the defensive backline has been one of the best defensive units in the seven seasons of the program.
• The Wildcats have allowed 12.2 shots per game and 5.4 shots on goal per game.
• The 12.2 shots per game are 1.9 shots per game lower than the record season of 2021 of 14.1 per game.
• The 5.4 shots on goal allowed per game this season are 1.2 less than the current record low of 6.6 shots on goal allowed per game in 2018.

Cats Reach Century Mark For Goals
• K-State reached the 100-goals scored milestone as a program in its seventh season of action.
• The Wildcats reached the mark at Weber State in a 1-0 win on September 1, 2022, and was scored by Marisa Weichel.
• In its brief history, the Wildcats have seen 33 players register at least one career goal and the overall goal total stands at 110.
• K-State set the single-season record for goals with 20 in the 2021 season.
• In the 2022 season, the Wildcats have notched 15 goals (0.88 gpg). The 15 goals ranks tied for fourth in school history for goals in a season.

Thornhill A Winner
• After a personal scoring drought, senior Caylee Thornhill has scored in consecutive matches for the first time in her career.
• Against Oklahoma on Oct. 16, Thornhill scored in the 81st minute which gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead before a late Oklahoma goal assigned winning status to Thornhill's tally. The goal came on her 41st shot of the season and was her second career game-winner.
• Thornhill's two career game-winning goals have come after the 80th minute, as she scored her first career game-winning goal at Kansas on Sept. 30, 2021, in the 99th minute (98:21). This was the latest goal in school history and the second overtime game-winner in program history. 
• Against Kansas on Oct. 21, Thornhill scored in the 22nd minute on her 43rd shot of the season.
• This season, the product of Lenexa, Kansas, is second on the team in total shots with 43 and shots on goal (15). She owns two goals and three assists and is second on the team in points with 7.
• Her three assists are a new career season-high for assists including a career-high two assists against Colorado State on Sept. 15.
• Her three assists this season ranks tied for sixth in school history for a single season. 
• In her career, Thornhill has five assists and ranks tied for sixth in school history. Her 13 career points ranks eighth in school history and her 27 shots on goal ranks sixth on the K-State career list.
• After two seasons halted by injury, Thornhill recorded her first two career goals and an assist in 2021 with 18 shots including eight on goal in a career-high 17 matches played.

Goins With Goals
• Senior Kyler Goins has paced the Wildcat attack this season.
• This season, Goins leads K-State with five goals including two game-winning goals, 12 points, 47 shots and 18 shots on goal. Her 18 shots on goal are a new school record for shots on goal in a senior season. Goins ranks tied for fifth in the Big 12 in shots.
• Goins is the third Wildcat in program history (Brookelynn Entz & Marisa Weichel) to score five or more goals in a season and is tied for third in program history for goals scored in a season.
• Against Colorado State on Sept. 15, Goins achieved her first career multi-goal game and set new career-highs with two goals and five points in the 3-0 win.
• Her two goals against the Rams came in a span of two minutes and 26 seconds to set the school record for fastest consecutive goals by one player.
• During a two-game swing through Texas, Goins scored both of K-State's goals. Against UTRGV, she tallied her first goal of the season and the first game-winning goal of her career with a 51st minute strike that bounced off the crossbar and into the net.
• At UTSA, Goins scored her second of the season and moved into the team lead for goals scored this season.
• This is the second time in her career in which she has scored a goal in consecutive games, also doing so at Kansas on Sept. 30, 2021 and against West Virginia on Oct. 7, 2021.
• Goins added her third goal of the season and first home goal of 2022 with a marker against Purdue on September 4.
• In her K-State career, Goins ranks second in school history for career goals (10) and is second in program history for career goals per game (0.21). She also is second in school history for career points (23) and is second for career points per game (0.48).

Jazmin on the Back Line
• Freshman centerback Jazmin Brown has been a staple along the K-State backline this season.
• Among field players, Brown is fourth on the team and first among freshmen in minutes played with 1,296 during her 17 matches played and 16 starts.
• Among freshmen in program history, Brown is the ninth freshmen to surpass the 1,000 minutes played mark and ranks fourth for minutes played in their debut season.
