CAREER: A three-time All-Big 12 performer, becoming the first kicker in school history with three all-conference honors in a career... The school’s all-time leader in career field goals made (57), passing Martin Gramatica (55; 1994-95, 1997-98)... Also set the school records for career field goal percentage (86.4) and extra point percentage (99.3), while he tied the school record for career 50-yard field goals made (5)... Finished career with 105 consecutive extra points made to set the school record, while he had already held the career record for consecutive field goals made (16)... His career field goal percentage ranks second in Big 12 history and sixth in NCAA history... Finished career with 304 career points to rank third overall in K-State history and second among kickers... Finished fourth in school history in career extra points made (133) and attempted (134), while he was second in career field goals attempted (66)... Was part of a 2017 Senior Class that earned a four-year record of 32-20, advanced to four bowls and pick up two bowl victories.
2017: Went 21-of-26 (80.8-percent) on field goals, while he was a perfect 48-of-48 on extra points... His 21 field goals ranked third in school history – one shy of the school record – while his three made field goals of 50-plus yards tied the school record... Totaled 111 points on the year to rank eighth in K-State history and third among kickers... Was the 10th player in school history to make all extra points during a season (minimum 20) and had the third most attempts... Finished 15th in the nation and fourth in the Big 12 in field goals per game (1.62), while he was 25th nationally and fourth in the Big 12 (third among kickers) in scoring... Connected on a career-long 54-yard field goal at Texas, tied for the eighth longest in school history, while it was the longest in the Big 12 and tied for the ninth-longest nationally in 2017... Also had a 53-yarder against Central Arkansas, tied for the second-longest in the Big 12 during the year... Was true on all four field goal attempts against Baylor, just one shy of the school’s single-game record... His four field goals made against the Bears tied his career high, were the second most in a game in K-State history and tied for the fourth-most nationally in a game in 2017... Went on to earn Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week and Lou Groza Star of the Week honors following his performance against Baylor.
2016: Kicked in eight games, going 11-of-14 on field goals and a perfect 29-of-29 on extra points, the latter tying the school record... Was true on his first two field goals in the season opener at Stanford to set the school record for career consecutive field goals made at 16, bettering Jamie Rheem’s mark of 15 in 1999... Recorded a season-best three field goals against both West Virginia and Texas Tech... His effort against the Red Raiders included a season long 42-yarder... Connected on all nine extra-point attempts against Florida Atlantic, tying the school records for single-game extra points made and attempted... Also kicked off 31 times on the year with 11 touchbacks, including a season-high four against Texas Tech on nine kickoffs.
2015: Connected on all seven field-goal attempts and 15 extra-point attempts en route to Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors despite missing a portion of the year due to injury... Teamed with Jack Cantele to give K-State the second set of kickers in Big 12 history to earn All-Big 12 honors in the same season (2001 Colorado)... Connected on both field-goal attempts against South Dakota and one apiece against Kansas and West Virginia, including a season-long 40-yarder against the Mountaineers... Made all three field goal attempts in the 2016 AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Arkansas, breaking his own school record for field goals made in a bowl game... Was true on a season-high five extra-point attempts at Kansas, while he also made all four against South Dakota.
2014: Served as the primary place kicker over the final 10 games, connecting on 18-of-19 field goals – including all 11 from 30 yards or more – and 41-of-42 extra points en route to Honorable Mention All-America, Freshman All-America and All-Big 12 honors... Led the nation in field-goal percentage at 94.7 percent, while he was 20th nationally and fourth in the Big 12 in field goals per game (1.50)... Shattered the K-State freshman record for points with 94, nearly 40 more than the previous record held by Martin Gramatica (1994)... Season totals ranked second in school history for field goal percentage and tied for fifth in field goals made... Also tied for third in school history in single-season 50-yard field goals... Connected on a 53-yarder against Oklahoma State, the longest by a freshman in school history and the longest by a Wildcat since 2011... Also true on a 52-yard attempt against Kansas as he became the first freshman kicker in school history with two 50-yarders in a year... Made four field goals at West Virginia, which tied for the second most in school history, were the most in the Big 12 and tied for the sixth most nationally in 2014... Earned Lou Groza Star of the Week honors following the Texas game when he made all three field-goal attempts, tying for 10th in school history in single-game field goals made... Named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week following the Kansas game by making both field-goal attempts and all five extra-point attempts... Also made five or more extra points against UTEP (7), Oklahoma State (6) and Texas Tech (5)... A Second Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Brownwood under head coach Bob Shipley... Connected on 7-of-12 field goals as a senior, including a school-record 52-yarder... Selected to play on Team USA in the 2013 U19 International Bowl.
PERSONAL: Matthew McCrane was born September 8, 1994... Son of Steven and Lori McCrane... Younger sister, Lizzie, also attends K-State... Graduated with a degree in Marketing from Kansas State in May 2016 and is currently pursuing his MBA.
