MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State will play its final home game in the month of January, as the Wildcats host (24/rv) TCU on Wednesday at 7 p.m. This will be K-State's seventh game against a Associated Press top-25 ranked Big 12 opponent in its first nine league games this season.

• Wednesday's game will be available on Cox Channel Kansas and K-StateHD.TV, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Missy Heidrick (analyst) will have the call.
• K-State dropped a 75-50 road decision at (4/4) Baylor on Saturday to complete its 2017-18 regular season series with the Lady Bears.
• Junior Kayla Goth, an All-Big 12 candidate, recorded her fourth game with 20 or more points this season including her second against Baylor with a team-high 22 points, five assists, three steals and three rebounds.
• The guard from DeForest, Wisconsin, leads the Big 12 and ranks 14th in the nation in assists per game (6.5; career-high 123 assists). She also leads the Wildcats in scoring and ranks seventh in the Big 12 at 16.6 points per game.
• Goth is the only player in the Big 12 who is reponsible for 50.0 percent or more of her team's made field goals this season, as she stands at 51.2 percent (123 assists and 114 assists/463 total made field goals).
• Sophomore Peyton Williams is second on the team in scoring average with 13.8 points on a team-best .550 field goal percentage with 7.1 rebounds per game. She has set career season-highs in nine statistical categories, which includes a free throw percentage of .814 (48-of-59).
• Both Goth and Williams have improved their scoring averages from 2016-17 to 2017-18 by 10.0 or more points. If the duo holds at their current scoring averages, this would be the first time in program history that two players in the same season have improved by 10.0 or more points from one season to the next.

1st Month of the Year Was the 1st to 200 Wins
• January was the first month in the history of K-State women's basketball to surpass the 200-win plateau and the Wildcats own an overall record in the month of 236-167 (.586) in the first month of the year.
• Head coach Jeff Mittie is 16-15 in January with the Wildcats.
• K-State has registered a .500 or better record in January 32 times in the history of the program.

K-State Against Ranked Opponents
• The Wildcats are 80-200 (.286) against teams ranked in the Associated Press (AP) poll including a 50-56 (.472) mark against AP ranked teams in Manhattan.
• With its 60-52 win at No. 12 West Virginia on Jan. 3, 2018, K-State has registered a win over an AP top-25 team in 12 straight seasons.
• It was the highest ranked opponent K-State has defeated on the road since upsetting No. 10 Texas Tech on Jan. 14, 2012.

Wildcats With 300+ Wins in Bramlage
• K-State is 319-125 (.718) all-time inside Bramlage Coliseum, which is in its 30th season of existence.
• In his career in games played in his home venue, Mittie is 323-82 (.798).
• Kansas State has protected its home floor with determination against non-conference foes with a record of 175-29 (.858) record. Head coach Jeff Mittie is 29-4 (.879) in non-conference games in Bramlage Coliseum.
• K-State was 14-4 record at home last season, with the only losses coming against Connecticut, Baylor, Texas and Stanford.

Generating Offense from the Defense
• Kansas State has used an opportunistic defense to create additional offensive chances this season.
• K-State's opponents have turned the ball over 310 times this season (16.3 topg). K-State ranks 56th in the nation and third in the Big 12 in turnover margin at 3.6.
• The Wildcats have tallied 353 points off opponent turnovers this season (18.6 per game/1.14 points per turnover). The 353 points are 27.2 percent of K-State's overall point total. K-State has a +157 margin in points off turnovers compared to its opponents (353-196), which is the highest in the last 10 seasons.
• The Wildcats have nine games with 20 or more points off turnovers this season, including a season-high 32 against Chicago State on Dec. 16. The 32 points off turnovers marked the most in the Jeff Mittie era.
• K-State has 10 games with 25 percent or more of its points off turnovers, including a season-high 43.6 percent against UCLA on Nov. 24.

Another New Season, Another New Goth    
• Junior guard Kayla Goth has taken on the point guard role for K-State to begin the 2017-18 season.
• For the season, the native of DeForest, Wisconsin, is averaging a team-high 16.6 points on a .494 field goal percentage including a 3-point field goal percentage of .429. She is also averaging 3.8 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.9 steals. Goth is shooting .511 on two-point field goal attempts this season.
• Goth ranks seventh in the Big 12 in scoring, leads the league in assists and is third in assist to turnover ratio (2.12).
• She has set career season-highs in nine statistical categories: points (316), field goals made and attempted (114-of-231), assists (123), blocks (11), steals (36), free throws made and attempted (67-of-96) and double-doubles (3).
• Goth has 11 games this season with at least 15 points and five assists.
• In Big 12 games, Goth is averaging 16.8 points which ranks ninth in the Big 12 while also pacing the league in assists at 6.3 per game. She is responsible for 51.3 percent of K-State's made field goals in Big 12 games.
• Against UNI, Goth registered a career-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and added five assists, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
• Against UT Arlington, Goth finished with 25 points on a 9-of-15 shooting performance while also dishing out five assists, blocking two shots and pocketing two steals. She also set the school record for points in a quarter with 19 in the third.
• She is the first player since Leticia Romero in 2013-14 to record two or more games with 20 or more points and five or more assists in a season.
• In the 2017 South Point Thanksgiving Shootout, Goth averaged 19.0 points on a .615 field goal percentage while dishing out 5.5 assists.
• In the 2016-17 season, Goth was sixth on the team in scoring (5.8 ppg) and third in field goal percentage (.437; 73-of-167). She registered the first eight double figure scoring efforts of her career last season.

Williams Goes Wild    
• Sophomore forward Peyton Williams continues to progress in the low post for K-State in her second season.
• This season, Williams is averaging 13.8 points on a team-high .550 field goal percentage. She also has 7.1 rebounds and leads the team in blocks with 24.
• In Big 12 action, Williams is averaging 15.9 points on a .563 field goal percentage while pulling in a team-high 7.9 rebounds.
• The native of Topeka, Kansas, ranks 44th in the nation in field goal percentage and 11th in the Big 12. She also ranks 16th in the Big 12 in scoring and 10th in rebounding.
• Williams has tallied career season-highs in points (262), free throws made and attempted (48-of-59), field goals made and attempted (104-of-189), blocks (24), steals (25), three-point field goals made and attempted (6-of-23) and double-doubles (4).
• Williams has improved her scoring average by 10.1 points per game from her freshman season. This would be the fourth-largest improvement from one season to the next in program history.
• In K-State's game at Iowa State, Williams tallied 15 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and two steals. This was her fourth double-double of the season and fifth of her career.
• Williams is the first Wildcat since Breanna Lewis on Feb. 29, 2016 at Oklahoma to record 15 or more points, 10 or more rebounds, five or more blocks and two or more steals in a game.
• For her career, Williams has 16 career games with 10 or more points and five or more rebounds.
• Against Little Rock on December 16, Williams recorded a new career-high with 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting and 6-of-7 from the foul line. She also pulled in seven rebounds.
• She has five career games with five or more offensive rebounds.
