MANHATTAN, Kansas - K-State begins the 2021 Big 12 schedule this weekend, as the Wildcats host Texas at 7 p.m., on Thursday and then travel to Lubbock, Texas, to face Texas Tech on Sunday at 1 p.m. 

• Thursday's match will be a White Out, as fans are encouraged to wear white t-shirts, sweatshirts or jackets. Fans will also receive a free K-State soccer cowbell. 
• Tickets for Thursday's match can be purchased by contacting the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 221-CATS, visiting kstatesports.com/tickets or at the Buser Family Park ticket booth.
• In accordance with University policy, it is required that face coverings be worn in all inside spaces of Buser Family Park, regardless of vaccination status, unless actively eating or drinking. In all outdoor spaces, face coverings are not required and are at the discretion of each patron.
• Thursday's match will be available on Big 12 Now on ESPN+, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play), Laramie Hall (analyst) and Kelsey Bigelow (sideline) will have the call.
• Sunday's match at Texas Tech will be available on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. 

Last Time Out
• Last week, K-State (5-4-0) closed out its 2021 non-conference schedule with a 2-0 win over UTRGV. With the win, K-State tied the school record for wins in non-conference play.
• The Wildcats tallied a 27-6 advantage in total shots and a 12-2 lead in shots on goal.
• Junior Marisa Weichel and sophomore Porter List tallied first half goals. Weichel was credited with her third game-winning goal of the season, which set the school record for game-winning goals in a season. 
• Sophomore goalkeeper Alaina Werremeyer earned her second win of the season and her second shutout. Werremeyer made two saves on the afternoon, both in the second half.

Bench Adding to the Attack
• K-State has received contributions from every part of its roster this season.
• The Wildcats have recorded five goals from players who entered the game off the bench this season. The five bench goals this season have tied the school record for goals from the bench. The previous mark of five was established in 2016 and again in 2018. In its history, K-State has registered 19 goals from players entering the match off the bench.
• The most recent player to score a goal off the bench was Porter List against UTRGV on Sept. 19.

Burning the Nets
• K-State has registered 14 goals (1.56 goals/game) through the first nine matches this season. The Wildcats set the school record for goals in non-conference play.
• The 14 goals scored through nine games are the most after nine games in program history. The goals have been scored by 10 different players.
• The school record for goals scored in a season is 18 in the 2017 season.
• The Wildcats have registered 43 total points (4.78 pts/game). The 43 points are tied for second in school history for a season. The school record for points in a season is 55 in the 2017 season and the mark for points per game is 2.89 in the 2020 season.

Firing Range
• K-State has come out firing to open the 2021 season. The Wildcats are second in the Big 12 in total shots (160) and ranked third in the league and 42nd in the nation for shots per game (17.78).
• Kansas State recorded a season-high 27 shots against UTRGV on Sept. 19, which ranks tied for second in program history for shots in a single-match and were the most since the Wildcats tallied 27 against Arkansas State on Aug. 29, 2019.
• The school record for total shots in a season is 276 set in 2019, while the shots per game mark stands at 15.3 also in 2019.

The One Who Scores
• Marisa Weichel has been dynamic in her brief time with K-State.
• Weichel, a transfer from Texas Tech, leads the Wildcats this season in goals scored with five and in game-winning goals with three. She is second on the team in shots on goal with eight.
• She ranks tied for fifth in the Big 12 for goals scored, seventh for goals per game (0.56) and tied eighth for points (10).
• The product of Papillion, Nebraska, has secured the school record for goals in a junior season. She is the second player in program history to score five or more goals in a season and is tied for second for goals in a season.
• With her three game-winning goals this season, Weichel holds the single-season school record for game winners and is second in program history for career game-winning goals. Nationally this season, Weichel ranks 12th in the nation for game-winning goals.
• At Colorado State on Sept. 5, Weichel registered her first career multi-goal match as she scored two goals. She became the third player in program history to score two or more goals in a match and is tied for second in school history for career multi-goal matches.
• Weichel scored at least one goal in four of the first five weeks of the 2021 season. She is the first Wildcat to achieve this feat.
• Weichel's 10 points this season moves her into a tie for third in program history for points in a single season. She is the third player in school history to notch 10 or more points in a season. Her 10 points moved her into a tie for sixth for career points at K-State and she owns the school career record for points per game (1.11 ppg).

List Joins Goal Log
• Sophomore Porter List added her name to the goal ledger for the Wildcats this season.
• List notched her first collegiate goal with a tally against UTRGV on Sept. 19. She is the fourth player on the K-State roster this season to record their first collegiate goal, joining Adah Anderson, Riley Baker and Caylee Thornhill. 
• For the season, List has played in all nine matches with eight starts. She has one goal, one assist with 15 shots including three on goal.

Yarnell-Williams Chips In
• Junior Roo Yarnell-Williams has found success in her first season with the Wildcats.
• The transfer from Colorado has recorded one goal and two assists in seven matches played. She has also nine shots with three on goal. She ranks third on the team for points (4) and is tied for third for assists. 
• Most recently, Yarnell-Williams tallied an assist against UTRGV. Her two assists this season are a new career season-high.
