K-State, Iowa State Play to Draw in 2025 Regular Season Finale
Oct 30, 2025 | Soccer
MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State was in search of the program's second bid into the Big 12 Soccer Tournament on Thursday night, but a pair of late goals from Iowa State sent the match to a 2-2 draw to conclude the 2025 regular season schedule at Buser Family Park on Thursday night.

FROM THE HEAD COACH
K-State Head Coach Colleen Corbin
On how tough the draw result was…
"It's incredibly tough. We wanted to win, obviously. We felt like we did enough in the game to win, and it's just really hard when this group has continued to show up, day in and day out, and grind and be selfless and continue to try to grow and assert themselves. And so it's just tough. It's tough to get that kind of a result at home and maybe in a past life again like, oh, great, we tied, a point's a point, but not anymore. That's just not how this group operates. And I'm just grateful to the seniors Andra [Mohler], Paige [Dickson], Khaliana [Garrett], for believing and helping to move this thing forward and change it and continue to build something to be proud of moving forward in the future. There's not a lot of records left to be broken that this group hasn't already annihilated. And I'm just excited for the future."
On the passing that led to the two goals…
"I mean the goals were incredible, just really, really good finishes. The second goal, the pass from Allison [Marshall] into Rilyn [Rintoul], and then the composed finish from Rilyn. I mean, you can't draw it up any better than that. Andra [Mohler] slam dunk, just really tucking the ball away on the first goal. Again, it's just stuff that we've talked about endlessly, and so just to see it come to fruition is pretty cool. Happy for [Mohler] to get one on her last time on Buser. And then just to see players like Allison and Rilyn, who you know are surely going to continue to grow and develop, just to see that kind of brilliance and composure from them is exciting."
On if the program has gained respect throughout the Big 12 Conference after this season…
"Yeah, I do. I think again, we made it really hard to play against us in a lot of different environments. And I think we've gained a lot of respect from different programs across the conference, and I've had some really kind conversations with other head coaches in the league who have been very complimentary of what our group is doing and how we're doing it and how we compete. So again, it doesn't feel like a great consolation right now, but I know that there is enough here to continue to build it and make a push for postseason play in the future and be one of the best teams in the conference. So I do think it's mission accomplished. I think people are on notice. There's not a lot of records left for this group to break this season, but I know that there will be more in the future"
On what she's proudest of from this team…
"The culture is a big one, and that one doesn't show up on a stat sheet. So, you can talk about goals, you can talk about shutouts, you can talk about wins, you can talk about points. I mean, there's so many things you can address, but I think all those things happen because of the culture, and they happen because people decided to believe and decided to work hard and invest themselves mentally, emotionally, physically, and that's what it takes to grow something. So it's not just the X's and O's, anybody can coach soccer. It's about hoping to build a culture that people are excited and proud to be a part of and want to win for."
FROM THE FIELD
K-State Senior Forward Andra Mohler
On what she'll take from this season…
"I'm just really proud of the growth of this team and just the commitment and the buy-in. I mean, we were able to do so much in just one season under Colleen; breaking a bunch of records and winning as many games as we have since I've been here and being a part of that was just so cool. And I think this team is going to continue to do that and just continue propelling forward and it's gonna be really fun to watch."
On what comes to mind first when thinking about Coach Corbin…
"For me, it's just her belief in us as a team, but also in me as a player. I think her coming in and the confidence that she kind of instilled in me early on, and the trust that we built really early on is kind of what I think about. And I'm really, really grateful that she came and that I stayed and that it all worked out like this."
On what has led to a career-high for goals…
"Just the confidence I think knowing how much your coach believes in you and knowing that she is going to see you as a player that is going to score goals and is going to impact the team, really helps you just have the confidence to know that you can do that too. So I think, yeah, it was really cool to get to do that this season, and I think it's largely due to Colleen and then the rest of the coaching staff and their confidence in me."
