Fifty-One Athletes Named to Track and Field Academic All-Big 12 Teams

In two seasons under head coach Travis Geopfert 70 Wildcats have earned 86 All-Big 12 accolades
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State track and field teams had 35 athletes earn Academic All-Big 12 honors, as well as 16 Wildcats to the All-Big 12 Rookie Team, as announced by the conference on Tuesday (June 30).
Last season a total of 35 Wildcats earned the honor, eight to the Rookie Team, for 86 accolades and 70 student-athletes in two seasons under head coach Travis Geopfert.
Sixteen Wildcats earned the honor while achieving a 4.00 GPA, Oskars Bambals, Emil Uhlin, Tavon Underwood, Cecilia Fisher, Kayla Goodwin, Ariana Jackson, Taylor Mayo, Bree Newport and Alexa Rios and freshmen Logan Beckman, Bree Allen, Emma Baum, Delaney Brinker, Reese Brownlee, Payton Fink and Hanna Keltner.
This marks a consecutive honor for 16 athletes including, Riley Marx, Brock Olsen, Jackson Steger, Uhlin, Underwood, Paige Baker, Claire Bybee, Lindsey DeWitt, Jourdin Edwards, Sharie Enoe, Fisher, Jackson, Grace Meyer, Newport, Rios and Delaney Wright.
Announced on the same day, Pierson Carlisle, Kayla Goodwin, Aaliyah Lindsay, Taylor Mayo and Delaney Wright were named 2026 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award recipients, the Big 12 Conference's highest academic honor.
On June 23, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team was announced with 12 Wildcats named; Thomas Canivet, Tah Chikomba, Brock Olsen, Selva Prabhu, Emil Uhlin, Tavon Underwood, Jourdin Edwards, Cecilia Fisher, Kayla Goodwin, Aaliyah Lindsay, Taylor Mayo and Maud Zeffou-Poaty.
To qualify for Spring Academic honors, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher, either cumulative or over the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20% of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen are not eligible, while transfers in their first year of academic residence are eligible. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
