K-State’s Torres-Brache to Play for Dominican Republic

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State freshman Emma Torres-Brache has received a call to play for the Dominican Republic Senior Women's National Team in the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, July 24-August 8 in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic has been placed in Group A and will face El Salvador on Wednesday, July 29 in Estadio Moca 85, Costa Rica on Friday, July 31 at Estadio Cibao FC and Venezuela on Sunday, August 2 at Estadio Moca 85.
The top two teams from Group A and B will face each other in the semifinal round on Tuesday, August 4 and the championship and third-place games to be competed on Thursday, August 6.
Torres-Brache, a midfielder from Miramar, Florida, and American Heritage School, helped American Heritage to four straight Florida High School Activities Association state championships and a final number one national ranking by MaxPreps in 2025. During her prep career, Torres-Brache tallied over 10 goals and more than 20 assists in her high school career.
K-State completed the 2025 season with the first winning record in program history. The Wildcats broke 49 school records in Corbin's first season at the helm of the program including wins in a season (7), goals in a season (23) and shutouts (9).
The Wildcats returned 57 percent of its total goals scored and 64 percent of its total assists from the 2025 season.
Kansas State will begin its 11th season of action in 2026 season. The Wildcats officially start the season on Thursday, August 13, against Seattle U., in Honolulu, Hawaii.
