CAREER: A standout on special teams over the final two seasons of his career after coming to K-State as a as walk-on in 2007.

HIGH SCHOOL: A
three-year letterwinner at Lee's Summit West... Lead the Titans to a
12-1 record in 2006, and a Quarterfinal Championship... Selected as the
2006 Class 4A Defensive Player of the Year... Awarded 2006 All Area
Defensive Player of the Year award... Also named first team
All-Conference, All-Area, All-Metro, All-District and All-State as a
linebacker... Totaled 459 total tackles, eight interceptions and 22
sacks in his career... Coached by Royce Boehm... Also lettered in
basketball and wrestling.
PERSONAL: Brian
Hertzog was born May 21, 1988, in Kansas City, MO...Parents are Jim and
Kathi Hertzog...Undecided on a major but would like to become a sports
agent in the future...Enjoys fishing and hanging out at his farm.
