CAREER: A physical interior defensive lineman who saw increased playing time as his senior year progressed... Also became a force on special teams.

2011 (Click Here for Game-by-Game Stats): Played in 12 games with two starts… Blocked five kicks during the year, breaking the single-season school record and tying the career record… Blocked a pair of field goal attempts at Texas Tech, the first player in the Bill Snyder era to block two field goals in a game... Went on to earn Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week accolades… Blocked an extra point attempt against Oklahoma… Carded 3 tackles against Texas A&M, including a half TFL… Earned his first start of the season against Iowa State, blocking another extra point and recording his second interception on a tipped pass.

HIGH SCHOOL: A key member of La Marque's 2006 Class 4A Division II state championship team... Helped guide La Marque to a 27-2 record during his junior and senior seasons, including a stellar 15-1 mark in 2006... Named TexasHSFootball.com's Class 4A first team all-state and to the overall statewide second team (all classes)... A first team Class 4A Region III selection as well as a unanimous first team all-district 23-4A pick... Named to the 2006 All-Greater Houston Area 4A second team... Racked up 86 tackles, five sacks and forced five fumbles for a defense that yielded just 208.1 total yards and 11.8 points per game... Helped lead La Marque to a 12-1 record and a berth in the 4A Division II state semifinals as a junior... Finished with 70 tackles, 10 for losses, six sacks and three interceptions...
