Played the first three years of his career being suffering a season-ending injury in the first game of 2015... Earned a medical redshirt to play his senior season in 2016... Finished seventh in school history in career unassisted tackles (182) and ninth in career interception-return yards (160)... Was a member of five bowl teams – including two victories – and the 2012 Big 12 Championship as he helped the Wildcats earn a 43-22 record during his five years... A three-year team captain, one of six three-time team captains in school history.|

Earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches, while he was a third-team pick by Phil Steele... Totaled 2.5 TFLs and a sack at Stanford, recording his first-career sack in his 41st-career game... Tallied a season-high 10 tackles at Oklahoma, while he had eight stops at West Virginia and Iowa State... Tallied his eighth-career interception at Baylor... An AFCA Good Works Team nominee, while he was on the watch lists for the Bednarik Award, Nagurski Trophy, Lott IMPACT Trophy and Wuerffel Trophy.

2014 (Click Here for Game-by-Game Stats): Started all 13 games, earning Second Team All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches and being named an All-Big 12 performer by ESPN.com and Phil Steele... Finished second on the team in both tackles (77) and interceptions (3)... Tallied career highs in tackles, tackles for loss (4.0) and passes defended (11)... Carded a season-high 12 tackles and a career-best 3.0 TFLs against UTEP... Recorded another double-digit tackle game (11) in a win at No. 11 Oklahoma... Had four passes defended against Texas – tied for the 14th most in the nation and fourth most in the Big 12 during the season – en route to Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors... It was also the most passes broken up by a Wildcat since Rashad Washington also had four against Oklahoma in 2003... Had three interceptions in a four-game stretch, picking off passes against Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Kansas... Three of his seven career interceptions have come against the Jayhawks.

Carded 109 interception-return yards to rank eighth in school history and second in the Big 12 during the 2013 campaign... Ended the year on fire, totaling 32 tackles, including one for a loss, three interceptions and a fumble recovery over his final four games... Was named the 2013 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl Defensive MVP after carding eight tackles and returning an interception 51 yards to set up K-State’s final touchdown... That performance followed a two-interception game at Kansas during the regular-season finale to tie a K-State season high and tie for the sixth most in a game in school history... Led the team in tackles against Louisiana in nine, while he registered a season-high 12 stops against Oklahoma.

2012 (Click Here for Game-by-Game Stats): Appeared in all 13 games, including starts against Baylor and Texas... Notched a career-best 14 tackles at Baylor, including one for a loss, and followed that up with four stops against the Longhorns in K-State’s Big 12 Championship-clinching victory.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Booker T. Washington under head coach Antwain Jimmerson... Recorded 100 tackles and nine interceptions on his way to earning second team all-state honors as a senior in 2010... Also hauled in 10 touchdowns as a receiver... Recorded 101 tackles as a junior and also caught 32 passes for 775 yards and six touchdowns... Led the Hornets to a 13-1 record and a 2010 state championship... Also collected nine interceptions as a junior... High school teammates with former Wildcat wide receiver Tyler Lockett.

PERSONAL: Dante Barnett was born June 14, 1993... Son of Larry Barnett and Tiah Pankey... Graduated with a degree in kinesiology from Kansas State in May 2015.
