CAREER:
A hard-nosed defensive end who was a former walk-on tight end from the
community-college ranks... Started every game during his senior
campaign.

First Team Academic All-District and First Team All-Big 12 honoree... A
third team midseason All-Big 12 honoree by Phil Steele… Made five
stops, including a pair of sacks, against Eastern Kentucky… Registered
two tackles at Miami… Picked up a sack and knocked down a pass on fourth
down to end the game against Baylor… Tallied six tackles against
Missouri, including two for a loss and one sack… Wrapped up three ball
carriers against Texas A&M… Made one stop apiece against Kansas,
Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Iowa State.

Saw time in five games, including three appearances in the first five
games... Registered a career high six stops, including four solos, at
Kansas... Also had two tackles against Missouri State... Totaled eight
tackles on the year.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE: A
two-year player who helped Butler Community College obtain back-to-back
top-10 rankings, including a No. 1 ranking in 2008... Played in nine
games as a reserve defensive end in 2008, recording one tackle... Moved
to tight end for his sophomore campaign, hauling in seven passes for 118
yards - including a long of 36 - and one touchdown.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped
at Newton High School as a defensive end and wide receiver under head
coach Brent Glann... Named an all-state defensive end and participated
in the 2008 Kansas Shrine Bowl... Was also an honorable mention
all-state selection in basketball, while setting school records in the
shot put and discus.
PERSONAL: Jordan
Christopher Voelker was born July 26, 1989, in Newton, Kan... Son of
Randall and Melinda Voelker... Father, Randall, was a three-year
offensive tackle at K-State... Majoring in business.
