CAREER: A big offensive lineman who walked on in 2012 before being awarded a scholarship prior to the 2014 season... Played in 49 career games, primarily on field goal protection and as a reserve lineman, but did earn two starts during his senior year... Helped 2016 Senior Class earn a 32-20 record and two bowl victories.

2016: Played in all 13 games, including his first two career starts at left guard against Missouri State and West Virginia.

2015: Saw action in 12 games, mainly on field goal protection.

2014: Saw time in all 13 games, mainly on field goal protection... Also played in five games as a reserve offensive lineman.

2013: Played in 11 games – including each of the final six – on field goal protection and as a reserve offensive lineman.

2012: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered three years at Cathedral under head coach Rick Strieff... Led teams to consecutive state titles as a junior and senior, winning 13 games each season... Earned honorable mention all-city honors as a junior and senior... Also lettered in wrestling as well as track and field.

PERSONAL: William Thomas Ash was born February 23, 1994, in Indianapolis, Indiana... Son of Alvin and Thomanisa Ash... Has one brother, Andrew... Participated in marching band, jazz band, gospel choir and guitar club in high school... Graduated with a degree in English from Kansas State in May 2016.
