MANHATTAN, Kansas -  K-State returns to the road this weekend, as the Wildcats make their first trip to Southern California. Kansas State will face CSUN on Friday at 7 p.m. (CT) and Cal State Fullerton on Sunday at 6 p.m. (CT).

• Both matches this weekend will be streamed on Big West.TV and available on 101.5 KROCK in Manhattan and kstatesports.com.
• Kansas State will look to snap a six-match road winless streak (0-5-1). In its brief history, K-State owns an 0-2-2 record in matches played west of the Rocky Mountains.

Weekend in Review
• For the first time in the four seasons of the program, Kansas State was unable to secure a win in the month of August but secured its first win of 2019 with a 2-0 victory over South Dakota State on the first day of September.
• In the home-opener against Arkansas State on August 29, K-State's Hannah Davis tied the match in the first half with her fourth career goal. The Red Wolves would score the game-winner in the 60th minute to down the Wildcats, 2-1.
• Against South Dakota State, K-State recorded goals in each half for its 2-0 win. Seniors Ashley Zane and Laramie Hall each recorded their first goal of the season in the win. Zane tallied the eventual game winner in the 45th minute. Hall added the insurance goal in the 58th minute.
• Senior goalkeeper Emma Malsy earned her second shut out of the season and the eighth of her K-State career with four saves. It was her first shut out to result in a K-State win since September 16, 2018, at Tulsa.
• The win ended a 12-match winless streak (0-11-1) and ended an eight-match home losing streak that dated back to the 2018 season. It was the first home win since August 23, 2018 against Drake.

California Love
• K-State will make its second appearance in the Golden State this weekend, as the Wildcats will visit Southern California. Last season, K-State took a tour through Northern California as they dropped a 2-0 decision at ninth-ranked Santa Clara and played to a 0-0 draw at San Jose State.
• The Kansas State roster features seven players from the state of California - Cameron Illingworth (Santa Ana), Carly McConville (Newbury Park), Emma Malsy (Westminster), Emily Crain (Temecula), Mikayla Edwards (Huntington Beach), Aly Rocha (Huntington Beach) and Rachel Harris (Huntington Beach). The Road Mostly Traveled
• Since the start of the program in 2016, K-State has played over 30 matches away from Manhattan.
• K-State set a program best three-match road unbeaten streak (1-0-2) in the 2018 season. The stretch started with a 0-0 draw at San Jose State on September 2, continued with a second 0-0 draw at Indiana and the Wildcats picked up their first win in the stretch with a 3-0 decision at Tulsa on Sept. 16.
• Overall, the Wildcats are 6-20-6 in road matches in their history.
• In the 30 road matches, the Wildcats have been outscored by its opponents, 43-22 (-21).
• In 2017, K-State tallied a program best three road wins.

Shots, Shots and More Shots
• Kansas State has piled up the total shot attempts following the first two weeks of the season.
• K-State ranks 15th in the nation and second in the Big 12 in shots per game at 20.00.
• The Wildcats recorded a season-high 27 shots against Arkansas State on August 29 and 23 shots against South Dakota State on September 1. The 27 shots rank tied for second in program history for a single match, while the 23 are tied for fourth.
• In the 2018 season, K-State had a total of three matches with 20 or more total shots.

Malsy Pockets Eighth Shut Out
• Senior goalkeeper Emma Malsy has started her 2019 season with 200 minutes of scoreless soccer.
• Malsy has bagged shut outs at Omaha and against South Dakota State this season. She ranks second in program history for career shut outs with eight.
• Malsy is one of 13 NCAA Division I goalkeepers after the first two weeks of the season yet to surrender a goal.
• In the 2018 season, Malsy registered six shutouts with a 1.37 goals against average and a .784 save percentage on 91 saves. She was tied for fifth in the league in shutouts. She was third in the Big 12 for saves (91) and saves per match (5.06).
• In addition to setting the school record for shutouts in a season, Malsy collected the school record for a single season for starts and games played (18), minutes played (1693:43), saves by a sophomore (91), season goals against average by a sophomore (1.37) and shutouts by a sophomore (6).
• The product of Westminster, California, was the first goalkeeper in program history to register a pair of shutouts in the opening weekend of a season, as she did so to begin the 2018 season.
• Later in the 2018 season at Indiana on Sept. 9, with adverse conditions in both goal areas, Malsy recorded her fifth shutout of the season with a career-high 11 saves and tied the school record for saves in a match.
• Malsy owns a career collegiate record of 8-16-4 and has 10 career shutouts, after spending one season between the pipes for Arizona State.

Hall Works Hard
• Senior midfielder/defender Laramie Hall has played at all three levels for Kansas State in her career and continues to be a multi-faceted piece to the K-State attack.
• In her career, Hall ranks tied for fourth in program history for career points (14) and tied for second in career assists (6) and tied for fourth for career goals (4).
• Hall added to her career ledger against South Dakota State, as she tallied an insurance goal in K-State's first win of 2019.
• The goal was the first for Hall since her freshman season in 2016.
• In the 2018 season, the native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, played along the defensive back line or in the midfield. She played in all 18 matches with 15 starts. Hall pocketed one assist of the season, aiding Haley Sutter on her goal against Oklahoma State on Sept. 21.

Moment of In-Zane-ity
• Senior midfielder Ashley Zane has seen limited action this season off the bench for K-State but she made her effort count against South Dakota State on September 1.
• Zane carded a season-high 21 minutes against the Jackrabbits and tallied the eventual game-winning goal in the 45th minute.
• This was Zane's second career game-winning goal. She is the fourth player in program history with two or more career game-winning goals.
• The product of Wichita, Kansas, ranks tied for fourth in program history for career goals (4) and ranks tied for sixth for career points (9). She is the first player in program history to score at least one goal four straight seasons.
