• To start Week 9 of the season, K-State dropped a tough 2-1 decision to Utah on Thursday, Oct. 10.
• The Wildcats went on top in the fifth minute on the first career goal from junior forward Sophie Simmons. The goal was the fifth-earliest goal in program history.
• Utah would register a goal five minutes into the second half and the game-winning goal five minutes before the final horn.
• With Simmons's goal, K-State has had 12 different players score a goal this season – setting a new school record for goal scorers in a single season. K-State's last five goals have been scored by a player recording their first of the season.

• K-State tied the school record for goals in a match and set the school record for goals scored at Buser Family Park with six goals against Green Bay on Aug. 29.
• As a program, the Wildcats have seen 44 players register at least one career goal and the overall goal total stands at 137.
• In its history, K-State reached the 100-goals scored milestone in its seventh season of action as the triple-digit tally was scored at Weber State in a 1-0 win on September 1, 2022, and was scored by Marisa Weichel.
Early Cat Gets the Goal
• K-State recorded one of the earliest goals in program history during its match against Utah on Oct. 10, 2024.
• Sophie Simmons scored the fifth earliest goal in program history, as she tallied a goal at 4:28 of the first half against Utah on October 10. It was the earliest goal by a Wildcat since Shae Turner scored at 2:10 of the first half against Oklahoma on October 16, 2020. Simmons's goal was the first goal this season by the Wildcats in the first 15 minutes.
• During the 2024 season, K-State has scored seven of its 16 goals in the first half this season.
Baker the Goal Maker
• Riley Baker continues to contribute to K-State's attack in her senior season.
• In her career, Baker owns four goals, five assists and 13 points. She ranks tied for seventh in school history for career goals, tied for sixth in school history for career assists and is tied for eighth for career points.
• She has 83 career shots and 35 shots on goal (.422 SOG%). Baker's 35 shots on goal ranks fourth in school history for a career.
• Baker opened her 2024 scoring ledger with an assist at Portland State on Aug. 22. She has recorded at least one assist in three of four seasons at K-State. She added her second assist of the season against Utah on Oct. 10.
• Against Green Bay on Aug. 29, Baker recorded her first goal of the season.
