FROM THE HEAD COACH
K-State Head Coach Mike Dibbini
On his overall thoughts on the match...
"That was a good team there, but I felt like we went toe-to-toe with them for 90 minutes. We gave up, unfortunately, an early goal in the first half. Other than that, we had our chances. They had two goal line clearances. We put them on their toes. I felt like this was a really good game for us in terms of building momentum against a really good team."
On how the momentum will serve them on the upcoming road trip…
"Hopefully it'll give them some confidence that we can continue to play with these top teams. We've closed the gap. Our girls deserve the opportunity to play. We just didn't get that last bounce to go our away."
On Sheaff's 11-save performance…
"She did a good job tonight. She kept us in the game, gave us opportunities, gave us some confidence as we move forward, and took some chances.
On gaining more offensive chances...
"Just keep driving the ball into the box and keep finding ways to take more shots when we get closer to the goal. They did a good job defensively, but we just gotta have an aggressive mindset a little bit more. There were a few opportunities that we just missed. Those two goal line clearances indicate that we're there. Anything can happen. We just need to get that moment."
