MANHATTAN, Kansas - K-State (0-1-0) will begin the road portion of its 2024 schedule this weekend, as the Wildcats visit Portland State (0-2-0) on Thursday at 3 p.m. (CT), and then trek to Spokane, Washington, to face Gonzaga (0-1-0) on Sunday at 2 p.m. (CT).
• Both matches can be seen live on ESPN+.
• This will be K-State's second-ever trip to the Pacific Northwest in program history. The Wildcats opened the 2017 season at Oregon State and at Oregon and went 0-1-1 during that road trip.
Last Time Out
• K-State opened its 2024 season at Buser Family Park against Nevada on August 15. The Wildcats' comeback effort came up shy, 2-1.
• Trailing 2-0 in the 79th minute, fifth-year midfielder Porter List slotted a ball to junior Jayce Woodward. Woodward fended off her defender and finished with her left foot from 17 yards into the lower left corner.
• A frenzied final 10 minutes by the K-State attack was unable to produce the equalizer.
• The Wildcats outshot the Wolf Pack, 20-15, including an 11-6 edge in shots on goal.

• Portland State (0-2-0) suffered a pair of road losses in the opening weekend of the season. The Vikings fell 2-1 at Boise State on August 16 and dropped a 2-0 decision at Oregon on Sunday, August 18.
• The Vikings are led on the sideline by eighth-year head coach Katie Burton. During her time with Portland State, she has steered the squad to a 35-71-11 overall record.
• Portland State is led in scoring this season by Aliayha Saldana with one goal.
• Entering the 2024 season, the top returners for the Vikings were senior midfielder Abi Hoffmann and senior midfielder Lucy Quinn. Hoffmann tallied six goals and six assists in 2023, while Quinn achieved two goals and an assist.

• The Bulldogs are led on the sideline by first-year head coach Katie Benz. Following a three-season stint as an assistant coach, Benz was promoted to head coach following the departure of former head coach Chris Watkins to Boston College in the 2023-24 offseason.Â
• Gonzaga is led in scoring by Katelyn Rigg with one goal. The sophomore forward was one of the top returners for the Bulldogs entering the season. In 2023, Rigg tallied five goals.

Dibbini In Ninth Season at K-State
• K-State announced the formation of its women's soccer program on Oct. 12, 2014. With the task of building a program from the ground up, K-State announced on Dec. 26, 2014, that Mike Dibbini would be the first head coach in program history.
• Dibbini is in his ninth season with the Wildcats. He owns a 300-165-49 (.631) career mark, including a 35-87-18 (.314) mark at K-State.
• The 300th victory of his coaching career came against Houston on October 5, 2023.Â
• Prior to coming to K-State, Dibbini spent eight seasons at Kansas Wesleyan (NAIA) and two seasons at Cal Poly Pomona (NCAA D-II).
Wildcats Make Debut
• K-State's 2024 roster includes 15 newcomers featuring 12 true freshmen. Of the 15 newcomers, Anna Emperador (37 matches; Oregon), Ryann Reynolds (17 matches; Oregon) and Jayce Woodward (10 matches; USC) have collegiate soccer experience. Emperador, Reynolds and Woodward all made their K-State debuts in the 2024 season-opener.
• In the season-opener against Nevada, K-State saw freshmen Langley Mayers, Allison Marshall and Caitlyn Toubia make their collegiate debuts. Sophomore Lily Hendrickson also made her collegiate debut after not appearing in a match in 2023.Â
• During its brief history, K-State has seen three freshmen score in a season-opener. Katie Cramer delivered the first goal in program history scoring directly on a corner kick at Saint Louis on August 19, 2016. Sophie Harlan became the second as she deflected a K-State shot into the Northwestern net in the 6th minute to open the 2022 season. Jo Sees added her name last season with a 90th minute tally at Green Bay in 2023. Even though she is not a freshman Woodward scored her first career collegiate goal against the Wolf Pack.
K-State in Road Openers
• The Wildcats will play their ninth road-opener in program history.Â
• K-State is 3-4-1 in its previous eight road-openers.
• Kansas State has won three straight road-openers, beginning with a 5-0 win at Austin Peay on August 27, 2021.
• The Wildcats have outscored its opponents during the three-game winning streak, 10-1.
Jayce is on the Case
• Junior midfielder Jayce Woodward put her name atop the 2024 K-State scoring ledger and registered her first collegiate goal during the season-opener.
• Woodward, a transfer from USC, tallied her first career start and added her first career goal later in the match.
• In addition to the first collegiate goal and start, Woodward registered career-highs for minutes played (45), total shots (4) and shots on goal (3).
• Her total shots and shots on goal surpassed her career totals entering the match against Nevada.
Porter Adds Her Name to the List
• Fifth-year midfielder Porter List added her name to the 2024 K-State scoring ledger and ascended the career assists list.
• Against Nevada on August 15, List slotted a pass to Jayce Woodward for the first goal of the season for the Wildcats.
• With the helper in the season-opener, List has now registered an assist in consecutive season-openers for the Wildcats as she tallied an assist last season at Green Bay.
• List owns four assists in her career and ranks ninth in school history for career assists.
