FROM THE HEAD COACH
K-State Head Coach Mike Dibbini
On the organization of the defensive backline...
"I think we did a decent job defending. I feel like getting shutouts is a tell of that. I just also feel like there were moments that we almost had mental lapses, but we stayed focused in those moments, especially today. It was a challenge today, as far as the elements of the game, heat, travel, field size and it was very, very noticeable in what we were trying to do, not from a defensive side because it feels more compact, but an overall side of what we're trying to do."

On the number of offside calls and the attack...
"I think a combination of both (aggressive attack and field size). I don't know if we necessarily stayed in what we were trying to do. We had a game plan and I felt like we didn't take advantage of our game plan, and we kind of let the tempo and the way Arkansas State wants to play kind of take control of how the game went and we just couldn't get back into the way we wanted to play, as far as I our identity and our philosophies were talking about, and it was hard to get our rhythm and do those things. We only got three corner kicks. We didn't switch the point of attack enough. We did not drive enough when we switched the point of attack, and we played very straight today. Not the same things that we did over the weekend."

On what adjustments he wants to see from his team before Sunday...
"We have got to make a lot of adjustments. I mean, we are playing a top 10 team. We have got to be mentally and physically prepared for a battle. It's a really good side, that does a really good job of creating chances so we got to be sharp. Defensively, we got to be mentally focused and we have got to be physical and ready to go."
