MANHATTAN, Kansas - K-State soccer begins its 10th overall season of action and its first under the direction of head coach Colleen Corbin in 2025.

• The Wildcats open a season at home for the sixth time in program history, as the Wildcats will face Oral Roberts on Thursday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m., and Portland State on Sunday, August 17, at 11 a.m. Both matches will be played at Buser Family Park.
• Thursday's match is a White Out, as the first 250 fans will receive a white K-State Soccer rally towel.
• Both matches can be seen live on ESPN+, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Oscar Montenegro (analyst) will have the call.

Odds and Ends from the 2024 Season
• The Wildcats tied the school record for draws in a season (3).
• K-State tied the school record for goals in a match with six against Green Bay. The six goals set the school record for goals scored in a home match.
• The Wildcats tallied 17 goals in 2024, which ranks third in school history for goals in a season. K-State set the school record for players with at least one goal, as 12 different players scored. The Wildcats averaged 0.94 goals per game, which ranks fourth in school history for goals per game in a season. K-State carded 16 assisted goals in 2024.
• K-State dished out 18 assists in 2024, which ranks third in school history for assists in a season. K-State's 1.00 assists per game ranked third in school history. The Wildcats saw 11 players record at least one assist, which ranks second in school history for a season.
• K-State recorded 52 points in the 2024 season, which ranks third in school history. The 2.89 points per game by the Wildcats ranked third in school history for a season.
• Forward Allison Marshall tied for second in school history for game-winning goals in a single season (2). Her two game-winning goals tied the school record for game-winning goals by a freshman (Hannah Davis, 2; 2017).

Corbin In First Year at K-State
• On December 5, 2024, K-State announced the second head coach in program history as Colleen Corbin was selected to guide the program. She is the first female head coach in program history.
• Corbin will embark on her fourth season as a head coach, as she was the head coach at Wyoming from 2021-23. She owns a career mark of 22-24-12 (.483).
• A 2012 graduate of Oregon State where she was a highly decorated goalkeeper, Corbin came to the Little Apple after a stint in 2024 as the associate head coach at Saint Louis.

• Oral Roberts (0-0-0, 0-0-0 Summit) enters Thursday's match following a 2024 season that saw the Golden Eagles finish with a 9-8-5 overall record and a trip to the Summit League title match.
• The Golden Eagles are led on the sideline by fourth-year head coach Austin Risenhoover. During his time in Tulsa, Risenhoover has guided the squad to a 27-24-12 record.
• Offensively, Oral Roberts enters the 2025 season with the return of Julia Thasaphong and Lela Stark. Thasaphong, a senior forward, registered six goals and four assists in the 2024 season. Stark, a senior midfielder, tallied two goals and an assist a season ago.

At a Glance: Portland State
• Portland State (0-0-0, 0-0-0 Big Sky) will open its 2025 season with a two-match swing through the Big 12, as the Vikings will face Iowa State in Ames on Thursday before coming to the Little Apple on Sunday.
• The Vikings were picked eighth in the Big Sky Conference Coaches' Poll.
• Portland State is led on the sideline by ninth-year head coach Maureen Whitney. During her time in Portland, Whitney has led the program to a 39-78-16 record.
• Portland State returns Elle Frazier and Aliayha Saldana from last season's roster. Frazier, a senior forward, is the top returning goal scorer with five goals a season ago.
• Saldana, a sophomore forward, carded three goals and two assists in 2024. She was named to the 2025 Big Sky Preseason All-Conference Team.

K-State in Season Openers
• The Wildcats are 2-6-1 in its previous nine season-openers.
• K-State has scored at least one goal in six of the nine season-openers.
• In 2023, K-State set a school record for goals in a season-opener with four at Green Bay on Aug. 17.

K-State in Home Openers
• The Wildcats will play their 10th home-opener in program history.
• K-State is 3-6-0 in its previous nine home-openers.
• Kansas State has been outscored by its opponents in its home-openers, 13-9 (-4).

Wildcats to Make Debut
• K-State's 2025 roster includes 11 newcomers featuring five true freshmen. Of the 11 newcomers, McKinnan Braswell (13 matches; Mississippi State), Emerson DeLuca (10 matches; LSU) Maddie Sibbing (10 matches; Kansas City/Saint Louis) and Mabry Williams (3 matches; Oklahoma State) have collegiate soccer experience.
• During its brief history, K-State has seen three freshmen score in a season-opener. Katie Cramer delivered the first goal in program history scoring directly on a corner kick at Saint Louis on August 19, 2016. Sophie Harlan became the second as she deflected a K-State shot into the Northwestern net in the 6th minute to open the 2022 season. Jo Sees added her name last season with a 90th minute tally at Green Bay in 2023.

2025 Roster Items
• K-State and first-year head coach Colleen Corbin will feature five seniors (Paige Dickson, Khaliana Garrett, Andra Mohler, Sophie Simmons and Jayce Woodward) and 12 juniors.
• Overall, K-State returns 12 letter winners and five of the top 10 point scorers from 2024.
• K-State added 11 newcomers, including five true freshmen, in the offseason.
• Of note, senior Sophie Simmons competed with the K-State cross country team in her freshman season in the fall of 2022 and finished her first K-State soccer season in 2023.

Summer Trip to Italy
• K-State women's soccer took its first overseas trip in the summer of 2025, as the Wildcats went to Italy from June 8-19.
• K-State spent time in Venice, Florence, Rome and the Amalfi Coast.
• The Wildcats played three friendlies during the trip.

Marshall Plan
• Allison Marshall made the most of her playing time in her debut collegiate season.
• In her debut season in 2024, Marshall was tied for second on the team in goals (2), assists (2) and points (6). She had nine shots with five on goal. Her two game-winning goals have tied the school record for game-winning goals in a freshman season. Her two goals are tied for fourth in school history for goals in a freshman season, while her six points are fifth in a freshman campaign.
• Marshall is the fourth Wildcat in program history to record two or more game-winning goals in a season and the second freshman (Hannah Davis, 2017).
• Marshall ranked tied for 89th in the nation for game-winning goals.
• In Week 3, the freshman from Omaha, Nebraska, registered two goals and an assist in 57 minutes of action against Green Bay and South Dakota. Both of her goals proved to be game-winning goals.
• Entering the week, Marshall had played just 20 minutes against Nevada in the opener.
• Against Green Bay on Aug. 29, Marshall redirected a cross in the first half for her first collegiate goal and the eventual game-winner. She also added an assist in the second half for a three-point night.
• Against South Dakota on Sept. 1, Marshall scored in the 64th minute and collect her second game-winning goal of the week. She was the first player in program history to register a game-winning goal in consecutive matches.
• Against 25th-ranked Texas Tech on Sept. 26, Marshall dished her first assist in a Big 12 match and her second of the season.

Mayers Makes Good
• Langley Mayers had a busy homestand in Week 3 of the season, as she tallied a goal and two assists.
• Against Green Bay on Aug. 29, Mayers assisted on K-State's third goal of the first half for her first collegiate assist.
• Against South Dakota on Sept. 1, Mayers scored her first career goal on her first shot attempt and added an assist in a career-best 41 minutes of action.
• With her goal on her first shot attempt, Mayers became the third Wildcat freshman in the last three seasons to score on their first collegiate shot attempt joining current Wildcat teammates Sophie Harlan (2022) and Jo Sees (2023).
• The Creve Coeur, Missouri, product tied for second on the team in assists (2) and tied for fourth on the team for goals (1) and points (4). She led all K-State freshmen in starts (9) and minutes played (629).
