
Sibbing Named Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week

MANHATTAN, Kansas – For the second time this season, K-State goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing was named Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week for her play in the league opener at Colorado last Thursday.
Sibbing is the second K-State goalkeeper to earn multiple Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week honors in a season, joining Alaina Werremeyer in the 2021 season.
Sibbing registered her sixth shutout of the season to help the Wildcats to a road draw at Colorado in the Big 12 opener.
Sibbing made five saves, including four in the second half, on 14 shots faced to register her sixth shutout of the season. With the shutout, Sibbing tied the school record for shutouts in a season and tied the school record for shutouts in a sophomore season. This was her second match this season with five or more saves.
For the season, Sibbing is 5-1-2 with 25 saves for 3.13 per game, a save percentage of .893 and a goals against average of 0.38. Her five wins this season have set the school record for wins in a sophomore season and ranks third in program history for wins in a season.
