2016 (FRESHMAN)
Serving as the primary pinch hitter for most of the season before evolving into a starter later in the year, the freshman hit .227 (17-for-75) with 2 doubles and 4 RBI in 43 games (16 starts) … Was 6-for-23 (.261) as a pinch hitter … The 23 pinch hit at-bats were the most by a Wildcat in the Brad Hill era (since 2004) … Only one other Wildcat had double-digit pinch hit at-bats while his 6 hits represented nearly half of the team’s 16 combined hits as pinch hitters … Registered his career hit on 3/4 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff … Went 2-for-5 with an RBI in the following game as he got the start in right field … Made 7 starts in right field as well as 6 at second base, 2 at third base and 1 as the designated hitter … Had a hit in 3 straight pinch hit at-bats from 3/20-3/24 … Drove in the game-deciding run as a pinch hitter on 4/10 vs. Texas … Started in 8 of K-State’s final 13 games, going .226 (7-for-31) with a double and RBI.

Played for the Rossville Rattlers of the Mid-Plains League … Named a Mid-Plains League All-Star … Led the league-champion Rattlers with a .350 batting average (28-for-50) … In 24 games, he had 4 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, 22 RBI and 17 walks … Threw one inning in the Cowdin Cup Final, registering 5 scoreless innings and surrendering just 2 baserunners (1 hit, 1 walk).
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Stoughton High School in Stoughton, Wisconsin … Three-year letterwinner in baseball, playing for head coach Jeremy Dunnihoo … Played shortstop all three years, helping lead the Vikings to two conference titles and two regional championships … All-state second team and unanimous first team all-conference as a senior.
