Starting nearly half of K-State’s games in his freshman season, he hit .263 (21-for-80) with 4 doubles, 2 triples, a home run, 11 RBI, 6 stolen bases and 11 runs in 34 games (25 starts) … One of 3 K-State freshmen to start in at least 25 games … Posted a .392 OBP and .400 slugging percentage … Started 13 games in left field and 12 in right field … Batted .293 (12-for-41) with 2 doubles, a triple and 4 RBI in 14 Big 12 games … Led the team with 5 stolen bases in conference-only games … Was 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts in the overall campaign … Hit .333 (9-for-27) with two outs … Reached base 44% of the time when leading off an inning (11-for-25) … Played on Opening Day on February 19 at UC Riverside, going 0-for-1 after entering the game as a defensive replacement, but did not play again until March 4 due to injury … Hit his first career home run in his second career at-bat on March 4 vs. UAPB … Entered the March 4 game originally as a pinch runner … Was 1-for-2 with an RBI in his first career start on March 6 vs. UAPB … Turned in his first multi-hit game on March 26 vs. Oklahoma State, going 2-for-3 with a double and RBI … Back-to-back multi-hit games on April 8 and 10 vs. Texas … Drove in 2 runs in K-State’s win over KU on May 14 … Tallied 2 RBI on May 25 vs. Texas Tech in the Big 12 Baseball Championship in Oklahoma City.

Attended Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Texas … Lettered for four years, playing his last three years under head coach Dale Westmoreland … Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Class 5A First Team as a senior … Unanimous selection as the 2015 District 19-5A Player of the Year … All-District 18-4A selection in 2014 … Served as Magnolia’s starting center fielder for most of his sophomore through senior seasons … Also pitched as a senior after one of Magnolia’s top pitchers went down with an arm injury … Hit .450 with 4 home runs and 28 stolen bases as a senior … Also went 7-2 with a 1.70 ERA.
