Athlete Q&A
How is rowing different than other sports you've been involved in?
Rowing is by the far the most challenging sport I have ever participated in. It is the definition of teamwork. Everyone has to be moving in complete synchronization, and when we do it's the greatest feeling in the world.
What is your favorite memory from this past season?
Being a part of the 1V4 boat that took first at Conference USA, making school history as the first K-State boat to do so.
What was it like to walk on to the team?
Walking on was a scary experience due to the uncertainty it brought. Starting school as a freshman and walking onto a team full of strangers was a little scary, but once I started to meet all of my teammates and form long-lasting friendships I knew I made the right decision.
