Weekend in Review
• In the first two home matches played in the month of October in program history, Kansas State dropped a pair of 1-0 decisions to Baylor and ninth ranked Texas. The Wildcats fell in an overtime heartbreaker with the Longhorns in just the second match against a ranked opponent in program history.
• K-State nearly tied the match with Baylor in the 83rd minute on Friday night. The Bears were whistled for a hand ball in their defensive box, allowing the Wildcats the first penalty kick in program history. Freshman forward and K-State points leader Hannah Davis took the attempt, but had her shot blocked by Baylor goalkeeper Jennifer Wandt.
• Senior goalkeeper Miranda Larkin finished the weekend with 15 saves on 17 shots on goal. For the season, Larkin has set the school record for saves in a season with 89.

The Secret Letter is 'O'

• K-State will face a total of six schools (33 percent of the schedule) during the 2017 season that begin with the letter 'O,' with matchups at Oklahoma State (Oct. 20) and Oklahoma (Oct. 22) upcoming.
• In 2016, K-State faced three schools that start with the letter 'O' - Oakland, Omaha and Oral Roberts. K-State secured the program's first win and the school record for goals in a match with a 6-0 win over Oakland.
• Overall, K-State owns a 4-1-2 record against schools that begin with the letter 'O.'
• By the end of the 2017 season, K-State will have played seven of the 11 NCAA Division I schools that start with an 'O,' with Ohio, Ohio State, Old Dominion and Ole Miss remaining.

Records Falling in 2017

• K-State needs three goals to surpass the record set last season and the Wildcats need to make eight saves in the next three matches to set the school record for total saves in a season.

Punching the Time Clock
• K-State's roster features one player that has started every match in the program's brief history (31 matches): junior defender Megan Kalkofen.
• Kalkofen led the Wildcats in minutes played in 2016 at 1,486, while also starting all 16 matches. She leads the team in 2017 in minutes played with 1362 of a possible 1377 minutes.

• Larkin backstopped the Wildcats with her second career shutout and a then career-high six saves in K-State's 0-0 double overtime draw at SIUE.
