MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State will conclude the road portion of its 2017 non-conference schedule on Thursday, as the Wildcats travel to Vermillion, South Dakota, to face South Dakota. Match time at First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex is 4 p.m.

Weekend in Review
• The Wildcats split the weekend at home, defeating Central Arkansas, 3-1, on Friday night, then fell to Creighton on Sunday in the highest scoring match in the history of the K-State Soccer Complex, 3-2.
• Offensively, Kansas State was aggressive with 56 total shots in the two matches including a school record 33 against Creighton.
• Freshman midfielder Brookelynn Entz became the first player in school history to register two or more goals in a match with a pair of goals against Central Arkansas.
• Junior Morgan Mauck registered the game-winning goal against Central Arkansas. It was her second goal of the season.
• Junior Megan Kalkofen notched her first career goal and also dished out two assists during the weekend.

South Dakota at a Glance
• South Dakota (2-6-0) enters Thursday's match following a 2-1 loss at Air Force on Sunday. The Coyotes will look to end a two-match losing skid.
• On the sidelines, South Dakota is guided by eighth year head coach Mandy Green. During her time in Vermillion, Green owns a record of 37-87-15.
• On the field, the Coyotes' top point scorers are Taryn LaBree, Maddison Sullivan and Zoe Anderson with two points each.

Better Late than Never for K-State
• Continuing a trend from the inaugural season in 2016, the Wildcats have opened the 2017 season with five second half goals.
• Of K-State's eight goals, five have been scored in the second stanza including three between the 61st and 75th minutes. When combined with the inaugural season, Kansas State has scored eight of the program's 24 goals (33 percent) between the 61st and 75th minutes.
• The Wildcats have fired off 66 of its 115 total shots in the second half, while also registering 24 of its 37 corner kicks in the second half.
• In the inaugural season, Kansas State head coach Mike Dibbini made his halftime adjustments count as the Wildcats outscored opponents 12-9 in the second half.
• Five of K-State's 16 goals in 2016 were scored between the 46th and 60th minutes of the match, while the Wildcats scored four goals in the 76th to 90th minutes.
• The Wildcats' attempted 34 more shots in the second half (97-63) than the first.

Mauck in the Middle
• Junior Morgan Mauck added an insurance goal against Omaha, tying her total from the 2016 season, in the fourth game of 2017.
• Mauck collected a deflection inside the 18-yard box and sent a shot into the lower left corner of the net at 85:47 of the game for her second career goal and her first of 2017.
• With the goal, Mauck tallied the latest goal in program history surpassing Laramie Hall's goal at Creighton on September 2, 2016 (85:06).
• Mauck registered her second goal of the season with a give-and-go effort with freshman forward Hannah Davis against Central Arkansas. The goal proved to be the game-winning goal, her first career K-State game-winner.
• The product of Overland Park, Kansas, scored her first career K-State goal at Oakland on August 26, 2016, which was the third game of the inaugural season.
• Mauck is tied for second in program history for career goals with three and ranks third in career points with seven. She holds the school records for goals by a junior (two) and total points by a junior (five).
• This season, Mauck is tied for the team lead in goals (2), assists (one) and points (five).

Entz First Player with Multi-Goal Game
• Freshman Brookelynn Entz claimed a piece of K-State soccer history, as she became the first player to score two or more goals in a match.
• Against Central Arkansas on Sept. 8, Entz registered her first collegiate goal in the 19th minute and added an insurance goal in the 69th minute.
• Against Creighton on Sept. 10, Entz handed out her first K-State assist to cap a five-point weekend.
• For her performance, Entz became the first player in program history to earn a Big 12 weekly honor as she was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week on Sept. 12.
• The product of Newton, Kansas, is tied for the team lead in goals (2) and points (5).
• Entz ranks fourth in school history for career points with five.

Wichita Area Natives Scoring Goals for Wildcats
• Through 23 matches in the program's history, Kansas State has scored a total of 24 goals.
• Of the 24 goals, six have been scored by players from the Wichita area; Katie Cramer (Goddard), Brookelynn Entz (Newton), Dora Gallo (Wichita) and Ashley Zane (Wichita).
• Cramer recorded the first goal in program history, while Gallo tallied two in the inaugural season and Zane pocketed one.
• In year two, Entz joined her fellow Wichita natives with the program's first multi-goal game to bring the total to six goals from the area.

Kalkofen Steps into the Attack
• Junior defender Megan Kalkofen tallied her first career collegiate points during the weekend of Sept. 8-10, 2017.
• Kalkofen registered an assist on an insurance goal in K-State's 3-1 win over Central Arkansas on Sept. 8. It was her first career point in 23 collegiate matches, which included one match at Wisconsin in 2015.
• The product of Wheaton, lllinois, did not wait long to book her second point, as she registered her first career goal Sept. 10 and a second assist on Sept. 10 against Creighton.
• Kalkofen ranks third on the team in points with four and tied for the team lead in assists with two.

Wagner Top Point Scorer in Program History
• Junior forward Tatum Wagner continues to hold the program record for career points and increased her total in K-State's third home match of the 2017 season.
• Wagner tallied her first goal of 2017, as she was sent in on a breakaway against Creighton finishing from 14 yards out. In the match against the Bluejays, Wagner set the school record for shots in a match with 10.
• In the 2017 season, Wagner has a goal and an assist for three points. She ranks fourth in total points and is tied for the team lead in total shots with 22. In the entirety of the 2016 season, Wagner attempted 24 shots.
• The forward from Tulsa, Oklahoma, holds the K-State career record for assists (five), points (13) and career goals (four).
• During the 2016 season, Wagner registered four straight matches with a point setting a program record.
• Against UNI on Sept. 16, Wagner became a permanent part of K-State soccer lore, as she recorded the program's first home goal.
• At the end of the 2016 season, Wagner tallied three goals and a team-high four assists (10 points) to lead K-State in both categories. She also led the Wildcats in shots on goal with 12 of her 24 attempts finding their target.
