MANHATTAN, Kansas - On Friday night, Kansas State women's soccer will achieve a pair of program firsts as the Wildcats will host its first Big 12 Conference home match and will face its first nationally ranked opponent welcoming in No. 9 West Virginia at 7 p.m., to the K-State Soccer Complex.

• Friday's match will be streamed on ESPN3 and will be available on 101.5 KROCK in Manhattan and kstatesports.com.
• The match is part of a "Wildcat Weekend" as fans can purchase a standing room only ticket for only $3.
• K-State enters Friday's match with an eight-match home scoring streak.

Weekend in Review
• Kansas State made its Big 12 Conference debut last weekend, as the Wildcats traveled to Texas Tech and TCU. K-State dropped both matches, 3-1 on Friday in Lubbock, and 1-0 on Sunday in Fort Worth. This was the first time this season K-State has lost consecutive matches.
• K-State achieved a program first at Texas Tech, as sophomore Katie Cramer crossed a ball to sophomore Ashley Zane who proceeded to score the first Big 12 goal in program history.
• Senior goalkeeper Miranda Larkin set a school record for saves in a match with 11 at Texas Tech.

West Virginia at a Glance
• West Virginia (8-3-0, 1-1-0 Big 12) had its four-matching winning streak snapped on Sept. 24, as the Mountaineers fell at Texas, 1-0.
• On the sidelines, West Virginia is guided by 22nd year head coach Nikki Izzo-Brown. During her time in Morgantown, Izzo-Brown owns a record of 317-106-46 (.725). She mentored the 2016 team to a national runner-up finish.
• On the field, the Mountaineers are led by a pair of 2017 Preseason All-Big 12 selections in forwards Michaela Abam and Sh'Nia Gordon. Each player has tallied eight points, while Abam has scored a team-high three goals and Gordon owns a team-best four assists.

Stats Up in 2017
• In addition to setting a new program record for wins in a season after nine matches, Kansas State has also surpassed statistical highs from last season.
• The Wildcats have already set the program records in shots on goal (71) and assists (16). In 16 matches last year, K-State registered 68 shots on goal and had 11 assists on 16 goals.
• K-State needs 10 total shots to surpass the 170 from the 2016 season and two total points to surpass the 43 from 2016.

Underclassmen Contributing Points
• In its two seasons of action, Kansas State has been powered by underclassmen.
• Of the 85 total points scored in program history, 63 points have been scored by freshmen or sophomores. In 2016, 39 of the total 43 points were tallied by underclassmen while 24 of the 42 points  this season.
• Through 27 matches, a senior has yet to score a goal for K-State.

Wichita Area Natives Scoring Goals for Wildcats
• Through 27 matches in the program's history, Kansas State has scored a total of 29 goals.
• Of the 29 goals, nine have been scored by players from the Wichita area; Katie Cramer (Goddard), Brookelynn Entz (Newton), Dora Gallo (Wichita) and Ashley Zane (Wichita).
• Cramer recorded the first goal in program history, while Gallo tallied two in the inaugural season and Zane pocketed one.
• In year two, Cramer and Zane each added their second career goals while Entz joined her fellow Wichita natives with the program's first multi-goal game and the first overtime game-winning goal in program history.
