Sunflower Showdown on Tap for Friday Night in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State (4-6-2, 0-3-0 Big 12) begins a three-match home stand on Friday night at 7 p.m., as the Wildcats will host Kansas (8-2-2, 2-1-0) in the Dillons Sunflower Showdown for the first time in program history.
• Friday's match will be available on ESPN3. The match will also be broadcast on 101.5 KROCK in Manhattan and free at kstatesports.com.
• K-State will look to snap a four-match home losing streak and its first win against a Big 12 opponent at the K-State Soccer Complex.
Weekend in Review
• Kansas State suffered its largest loss in program history, as the Wildcats dropped a 4-0 decision at West Virginia on September 28.
• In the previous 45 matches in program history, K-State had not suffered a loss featuring a goal differential larger than two.
• The teams played to a scoreless draw in the opening 45 minutes. K-State fended off 17 shots by the Mountaineers, including six blocked shots.
