MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State will play its next three matches in the state of Kansas, beginning with the fifth edition of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown on Thursday, September 30, as the Wildcats travel to Lawrence to face Kansas at Rock Chalk Park at 7 p.m.

• Thursday's match will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
• During the split 2020 season, K-State and Kansas played a rare three times. Only one match came in Big 12 action (October 2) while the final two meetings came a week apart in the spring (March 6 & 13). The Jayhawks tallied two wins in Manhattan, while the teams played to a scoreless draw in the last meeting in Lawrence on March 13, 2021.
• With a win, K-State will tie the school record for road wins in a season - three in 2017.

Last Time Out
• Last week, K-State (5-6-0, 0-2-0 Big 12) started the 2021 Big 12 schedule with a home match on Thursday against Texas and a road match at Texas Tech on Sunday.
• The Wildcats dropped both matches by a score of 2-0, with all four goals scored in the first half.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Alaina Werremeyer made five saves at Texas Tech, which was her sixth career game and third this season with five or more saves.
• Over the last five matches, K-State has been held to two goals. The Wildcats opened the season with 12 goals in the first six matches.
• Defensively, K-State has held its opponents to two goals in the second half this season. The Wildcats have not allowed a goal in the second half since September 9 at Purdue and have allowed one second half goal at home this season, which came in the season-opener against Weber State.

• K-State has been firing in the 2021 season. The Wildcats are fourth in the Big 12 in total shots (178) and ranked fourth in the league and 57th in the nation for shots per game (16.18).
• Kansas State recorded a season-high 27 shots against UTRGV on Sept. 19, which is tied for second in program history for shots in a single-match and were the most since the Wildcats tallied 27 against Arkansas State on Aug. 29, 2019.
• The school record for total shots in a season is 276 set in 2019, while the shots per game mark stands at 15.3 also in 2019.

The Road Mostly Traveled
• Since the start of the program in 2016, K-State has played 51 matches away from Manhattan.
• For the first time in program history, the Wildcats won a pair of matches away from Buser Family Park in the same weekend. K-State downed Austin Peay, 5-0, on Aug. 27 and won a neutral site match over North Alabama, 1-0, on Aug. 29.
• With its two road wins this season, K-State has tied for the second-most road wins in school history and the most since the 2017 squad set the school record with three road victories.
• Overall, the Wildcats are 9-33-9 in road matches in their history.
• In the 51 road matches, the Wildcats have been outscored by its opponents, 87-42 (-45).
