Big 12 Pitcher of the Week in back-to-back weeks to end the regular season (May 11 and 18) … First K-State pitcher to earn conference pitcher of the week honors since 2011...Went 6-3 with a 2.63 ERA (23er, 78.2ip), 64 strikeouts and 33 walks in 13 starts ... Held opponents to a .218 batting average against, the lowest clip against by a Wildcat starting pitcher since 2000 (min. 10 starts) ... His 64 strikeouts were the most by a K-State hurler since 2012 ... Finished 10th among Big 12 pitchers in ERA in overall games ... His ERA was the lowest by a Wildcat pitcher since 2011 ... Pitched for the Topeka Golden Giants of the Mid-Plains League (MPL) ... Joined the team late in the summer, appearing in 3 games and allowing one run in 6 1/3 innings (1.42 ERA) ... Also struck out 8 and walked 3.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2014)
Went 3-7 with a 4.66 ERA (33er, 63.2ip), 32 strikeouts and 25 walks in 15 appearances (10 starts) ... Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week on March 24 after going 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA in 2 starts that week ... Opened the season as a reliever, posting a 1.59 ERA (1er, 5.2ip) in his first 4 relief appearances of the season ... Did not allow a run in 3 of the 4 games ... Moved to a starting role beginning on March 12 vs. Omaha and went on to make 10 starts, going 3-6 with a 4.85 ERA (30er, 55.2ip), 24 strikeouts and 18 walks ... His final appearance of the season was as a reliever, striking out 2, walking 4 and allowing 2 runs in 2 1/3 innings against Texas on May 18 ... Finished the season with a 3.38 ERA as a reliever ... Struck out 4 in 2 2/3 hitless innings at San Francisco on Feb. 18...Fanned 5 and walked 2 while allowing 2 runs, one earned, in 5 2/3 innings in his first career start on March 12 vs. Omaha ... Was the first shutout thrown by a K-State pitcher in a road conference game since 1986 ... Struck out 5 and allowed 2 runs in 7.0 innings on March 30 at Creighton, earning the win in his hometown of Omaha ... Suffered the loss on April 6 vs. Kansas despite allowing 2 runs in 8.0+ innings pitched ... Loss vs. Kansas started his seven-game losing streak to end the year.

Lettered four years for the Wildcats under head coach Frank Ryan... Finished second in school history in career appearances (36), wins (23), strikeouts (225), ERA (1.71) and complete games (11), while he was first in shut outs (5)... Was a Louisville Slugger High School All-American as a right-handed pitcher and an outfielder, while he was the 2012 Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year... Also earned an invitation to the under-18 USA Baseball tryouts... Went 8-1 with a 1.62 ERA in 48 innings as a senior with 76 strikeouts... Went 6-2 with a 1.28 ERA in 48 innings with 56 strikeouts as a junior, while he was 5-0 with a 2.13 ERA as a sophomore, earning first team all-state accolades on each occasion... Was an honorable mention all-state selection as a freshman when he went 4-2 with a 1.98 ERA.
