MANHATTAN, Kansas - K-State makes the first of two road trips to the state of Texas in the month of October, as the Wildcats visit Austin to face Texas on Friday evening at 5 p.m.

• Friday night's match will be available on Longhorn Network, as Alex Loeb (play-by-play) and Michael Lahoud (analyst) will have the call. The match will also be available on 101.5 KROCK in Manhattan and for free at kstatesports.com, as Mitch Fortner will call the action.
• The Wildcats have had a difficult start to the season, schedule-wise, as K-State has faced three of the four league teams currently ranked in the United Soccer Coaches poll.

Last Time Out
• K-State tangled with sixth-ranked Kansas in the fourth edition of the Sunflower Showdown. The Jayhawks used a 60th minute goal to edge by the Wildcats and secure its third straight win in the series.
• Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Cameron Illingworth made her career debut and registered four saves.
• K-State held Kansas to eight total shots, which marked the fewest shots allowed by the Wildcats since holding Arkansas State to five shots on August 29, 2019.

The Road Mostly Traveled
• Since the start of the program in 2016, K-State has played 40 matches away from Manhattan.
• K-State set a program best three-match road unbeaten streak (1-0-2) in the 2018 season. The stretch started with a 0-0 draw at San Jose State on September 2, continued with a second 0-0 draw at Indiana and the Wildcats picked up their first win in the stretch with a 3-0 decision at Tulsa on Sept. 16.
• Overall, the Wildcats are 6-27-7 in road matches in their history.
• In the 40 road matches, the Wildcats have been outscored by its opponents, 65-27 (-38).
• In 2017, K-State tallied a program best three road wins.

Several Wildcats Make Debut
• K-State's 2020 roster includes 11 newcomers including one redshirt freshman (Cameron Illingworth) and nine true freshmen.
• Freshman goalkeeper Alaina Werremeyer was the second true freshman for the Wildcats to make her collegiate debut between the pipes in a season-opener and first since Tania Chassot in the first match in program history at Saint Louis on August 19, 2016.
• Joining Werremeyer in the season-opening starting lineup and making her collegiate debut was freshman defender Presli Pearson. In total seven Wildcats made their collegiate debuts against Oklahoma State, as Marissa Gohr, Lily Hollis, Erin Morrissey, Lily Parker and Maddie Weichel all saw action off the bench.
• Illingworth made her career debut on October 2, 2020, against Kansas.

Wichita Area Natives Scoring Goals
• Through 73 matches in the program's history, Kansas State has scored a total of 63 goals.
• Of the 63 goals, 25 have been scored by players from the Wichita-area including current Wildcats: Katie Cramer (Goddard), Brookelynn Entz (Newton), Avery Green (Wichita) and Ashley Zane (Wichita).
• In the last three seasons, Cramer, Entz and Zane tallied at least one goal each.
• Last season, Cramer scored a career-best four goals and ended the season tied for the team lead. Entz tallied three goals, while Zane found the back of the net once.
