Manhattan HS:
Lettered four years for the Indians under head coach Don Hess... A three-time second team all-state player by the state's coaches, while he earned first team honors as both a junior and senior by Rivals.com... Joined fellow K-State freshman Austin Fisher as the only two sophomores on the coaches' all-state team in 2009... Also earned first team all-league accolades as a sophomore, junior and senior... Hit .534 with nine doubles, two triples, two home runs and 34 RBI as a senior in 2011, which followed a season in which he hit .465 with seven doubles, four homers and 28 RBI as a junior... Helped guide team to a regional championship as a junior... Earned the Kansas High School Activities Association Citizen of the Year Award in 2011.
