An athletic defensive back who graduated from high school early to take part in spring practices... Will compete for playing time during his first year in Manhattan.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Carver under head coach Darren Myles... Named a Georgia High School Association (GHSA) First Team All-Region 6-AAAAA selection as a senior in 2017, while he was a second-team pick in 2016... Helped lead the Panthers to the Final Four round of the Georgia Class AAAAA playoffs in 2017 – Carver’s first time in the Final Four since 1968 – while the team won its first regional title since 2007... Also participated in track and field as his 4x400 relay team placed fourth in the state championship.
PERSONAL: Eddie Maverick Thomas was born July 28, 2000, in Atlanta, Georgia... Son of Martina Miller... Has four siblings.
