2018: Redshirted as he sat out the year due to NCAA transfer rules.
 
MICHIGAN STATE: Played as a true freshman in 2017 under head coach Mark Dantonio... Saw action in 12 games, recording 18 catches for 223 yards... Best performance of the year came against Notre Dame when he hauled in four catches for 73 yards... Also had a 52-yard effort in a win over No. 7 Penn State, which featured a season-long reception of 26 yards to convert on third down... Snared two catches for 30 yards at Minnesota, with both coming on third downs... Also rushed three times for 11 yards, including a season-long rush of nine yards against Iowa.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played two years at Skyline, including his senior season under head coach Andrew Sorgatz... Named to the Rivals250 (No. 246), Scout300 (No. 271) and PrepStar350 (No. 286) rankings as one of the best overall prospects in the country... Rated the 37th-best wide receiver in the Class of 2017 by Rivals, while he was No. 39 by Scout and No. 50 by ESPN... Rated the fifth-best player in the state of Michigan by Rivals, while Scout listed him as the second-best wide receiver in the state... Earned PrepStar All-America honors in addition to Associated Press Division 1-2 All-Michigan First Team accolades as a junior and senior... Also chosen to USA TODAY Sports All-USA Michigan team in 2016... Recorded nearly 1,700 receiving yards with 19 touchdowns in during his junior and senior seasons... Had 35 receptions for 645 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior, while he helped the Eagles win the 2016 Ann Arbor city title after recording 1,046 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns... Registered four 100-yard receiving games his junior season, including a 12-catch, 339-yard performance with two scores against Temperance Bedford... Played at Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona, prior to moving to Ann Arbor where he had 31 catches for 376 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore in 2014.
 
PERSONAL: Hunter Rison was born September 3, 1998... Son of Andre Rison and Racquel Blanks... Is the first Wildcat from the state of Michigan since Travis Wilson – also a Michigan State transfer – in 2002 and 2003... Father, Andre, was a four-year letterwinner at Michigan State before playing 12 seasons in the NFL with seven different teams... Andre was selected in the first round (No. 22 overall) of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts and earned Pro Bowl honors five times... Majoring in journalism and mass communications.
