CAREER: A big, physical tight end who walked on from the community-college ranks and was a major contributor as a senior.

2018: Played in 11 games with his only career start coming at Baylor... Helped K-State finish third in the Big 12 by averaging 182.6 rushing yards per game, which included a 184.2-yard average in conference games to rank second... Helped the Wildcat rushing attack average 208.6 yards and 2.3 rushing touchdowns per game in the final seven contests after averaging 146.2 yards and 0.8 rushing touchdowns in the first five... Paved the way for running back Alex Barnes, who was the Big 12 rushing champion with 1,355 yards and 12 touchdowns.

2017: Saw his first-career action against UCLA in the Cactus Bowl, being used as a blocker in short-yardage situations.

2016: Redshirted.

PITTSBURG STATE: Went through spring practices in 2016 at Pittsburg State.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Played two seasons at Butler Community College under head coaches Troy Morrell and Tim Schaffner… Earned First Team NJCAA All-region VI and all-conference honors in 2015 after hauling in four catches for 45 yards in seven games… Helped the Grizzlies earn a two-year combined record of 17-5.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Maraias Des Cygnes Valley under head coach and father Butch Jones… Earned all-state honors as both a junior and senior from the Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital-Journal… Selected to play in the 2014 Kansas Shrine Bowl in addition to the Kansas 8-Man All-Star Game… Also lettered in basketball.
