Athlete Q&A
What does K-State Rowing mean to you?
K-State rowing has impacted my college life in a tremendous way. I have a team that I can always count on and I've learned countless lessons that will benefit me in my career path after college. Being a student athlete at K-State on the rowing team is an amazing opportunity that I will always be grateful to be part of.

What was it like to walk on to the team?
As a walk-on to the team, I received an informational flyer about the women's rowing team. I met our recruiting coach during my K-State orientation the summer before I started college and decided to join. I was nervous to start a sport that I knew nothing about. However, even as a walk on, I was held to the same high expectations and I always felt like I was part of the team.

What is your favorite memory from this past season?
My favorite memory from this past season was the team placing second at the Big 12 Championships and the boat I raced in winning gold. It was a great improvement from the previous season and it showed us that our hard work really does pay off.
