Outdoor - Finished ninth at the Big 12 Championships in the hammer throw with a 155-1... Threw a season-best 185-1 to place seventh in the javelin throw at the Emporia State Twilight... Was 18th in the hammer at Junior Nationals.

Set personal-bests of 198-2 in the javelin, 52-10 in the shot put and 159-8 in the discus... Lettered three years in football... Named an all-state and first-team Arkansas Valley conference offensive lineman as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born March 30, 1982 to Randy and Lisa Vetter... Held the lead in a high school production of "Fiddler on the Roof"... Was valedictorian of his class at Arkansas City high school... Majoring in chemical engineering.
